Automatic flushing device for lavatories. The present subject matter of the present invention is an automatic flushing device for all types of needs, private or public.
The flushing devices in use up to now for such systems have the following disadvantages: Flushing devices with manual actuation are unhygienic, especially at well-used and public lavatories, and are often not operated for this reason. Experience has shown that flushing devices with foot actuation are mostly overlooked and not actuated. Flushing devices with automatically periodic flushing have the disadvantage that flushing is only randomly done immediately after using the lavatory. They also consume unnecessarily large amounts of water.
Flushing devices of the type mentioned also require a water reservoir with a float in most cases.
The present invention does not have any of these disadvantages in that automatic flushing takes place after leaving the point of need, the flushing water being taken directly from the water pipe.
The accompanying drawing shows an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention. for example built into a urinal.
1 shows the flushing device in the position when the lavatory is not in use, FIG. Z the flushing device in the Laae when the toilet is used, FIG. 3 is a vertical section through part of the flushing device on a larger scale, FIG. 4 is a section along the line 1-1 in Fig. 3 and Fig. 5 is a side view and a plan view of a coupling member of the Spülein direction.
In FIGS. 1 and 2, 1 denotes the urinal bowl. The line 2 leads the control device, which is housed in the housing 3. is to the rinse water that arrives from this device in the line 4 and from this in the urinal bowl 1. One end of the curved rod 7 is articulated to the footboard 5 held up by a spring 0. At its other end it has a pincer-shaped coupling element 8.
In the housing 3 of the control device is. a valve seat 12, in which the valve disk 11 is seated, is arranged at the flushing water inlet opening. The valve stem 9, firmly connected to the valve disk 17, protrudes from the bottom of the housing 3 and, when the puss board is depressed, is encompassed outside the housing at its end 9 'by the pincer-like coupling element 8, which is supported on the cone 10 of the valve stem 9 (F!; -. 4).
The housing 3 also has a cavity 14 which is filled with a liquid and is traversed by the valve stem 9, the passage openings of which are sealed against the outside and against the flushing water outlet opening by means of packings 13. In the area of the cavity 14, the valve stem 1 has a central bore 17 which passes through. Bores 15 and 16 is in communication with the cavity 1.4.
By means of the thread 18 and the nut 19, a piston 20 is held on the valve stem 9 between two disks 21, which is under the pressure of a spring 22, which is supported on the one hand on a disk 21 of the piston 20 and on the other hand on the housing 3. Finally, the housing 3 also has a conical pin 23 which engages in the coupling member 8 in the position shown in FIG.
The operation of the device is briefly as follows: The footboard 5 is pressed down by the person using the facility, as shown in the direction of the arrow in Fig. 2, the pincer-like coupling member 8 from the conical pin 23 ziiriick- slides and the cylindrical end of the valve Shank 9 'encloses. As soon as the person leaves the board 5 in FIG. 2, the spring 6 pushes the valve stem 9 with the valve disk 11 up by means of the transmission element 7 and the coupling element 8.
The valve is virtually instantaneously, ie immediately geöff net, so that the water can flow from the line 2 into the line 4 and into the urinal bowl 1 unimpeded. During the lifting of the valve disk 11, the liquid filled into the cavity 14 flows back, larger part over the circumference of the Kol ben 20 from the upper part of the cavity 14 in its lower part. The compression spring 2'2 now closes the valve again.
This happens very slowly, however, because the liquid located in the lower part of the cavity 14 has to flow through the bores 16, 17 and 15 into the upper part of this cavity and thus delay the closing of the valve. This delay can be set as required by a threaded needle (not shown) in the central bore 17- a threaded needle (valve needle) is provided to set the flushing duration.
The simple implementation of the automatic flushing device shown in a few and easy-to-manufacture items ensures cheap manufacture.
The same flow valve is used for flushing toilets, but in the opposite position (direction). The valve stem end 9 ', cone 10 and cone pin' 3 are directed upwards or come to rest upwards. The entry of water he then follows from below. In this case, the valve can be built into a ceramic casing directly behind the bowl.
The function of the footboard is in this case from the seat board, which is similar to that with a correspondingly formed rod, as shown by 7 and 8 in Fig. 4, connected, and a tension spring that lifts the seat board.
