Abstract

"SISTEMA DE FIXAçãO DE FRATURA". Um sistema de fixação de fratura é fornecido para a inserção de um pino de fixação para dentro do canal medular de um osso metacarpal, metatarsal, ou falangeal fraturado para estabilizar a fixação do osso. O sistema inclui um ou mais pinos, e um instrumento para implantar os pinos. De acordo com uma concretização da invenção, o instrumento inclui um punho principal (16), e um punho do pino (80) móvel em relação ao punho principal (16). O punho principal (16) inclui uma extremidade mais distante, uma broca (40) acoplada na extremidade mais distante, e um rasgo longitudinal (82) o qual recebe o punho do pino. A broca (40) inclui um eixo que tem uma ponta de perfuração mais distante (60), e um rasgo (70) próximo da ponta de perfuração (60) para guiar o pino de fixação (96).
