Abstract

"PRODUçãO DE CELULOSE MICROCRISTALINA". A presente invenção refere-se a celulose microcristalina que é produzida submetendo-se a um tratamento de cisalhamento elevado, em pressão e temperatura elevada, uma mistura de reação de um material de celulose, um composto de oxigênio ativo e água, durante um tempo efetivo para despolimerizar o material de celulose. A mistura pode ser também despolimerizada após o tratamento de cisalhamento elevado mantendo-a sem resfriamento. Um composto de oxigênio ativo adequado é peróxido de hidrogênio. Um extrusor é um típico dispositivo de cisalhamento elevado.
