<Desc/Clms Page number 1> Polyolzusammensetzung Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine neuartige Polyolzusammensetzung, die mit polyfunktionellen Isocyanaten unter Bildung von Polyurethanen reagieren kann. Bekanntlich können die als Polyurethane bekannten Polymeren mit einem weiten Bereich von phy- sikalischen Eigenschaften durch Umsetzung eines polyfunktionellen Isocyanats mit einem polyfunktionellen chemischen Stoff, der aktiven Wasserstoff enthält, hergestellt werden. Im allgemeinen sind die zur Herstellung solcher Polyurethane verwendeten Komponenten Flüssigkeiten. Die zusammen mit den Isocyanaten verwendeten Verbindungen sind, abgesehen von wenigen Ausnahmen, Polyole mit relativ niedrigem Molgewicht und Ketten mit OH-Endgruppen. Die Polyurethan-Endprodukte sind im allgemeinen quervernetzt. Es wäre wünschenswert, solche Polyurethane mit höhermolekularen Komponenten als üblich herzustellen, jedoch ergeben sich dabei gewisse Schwierigkeiten, wie z. B. in der Handhabung, beim Vermischen, durch Schrumpfung bei Anwendung inerter Lösungsmittel usw. Gegenstand der Erfindung ist nun eine Polyolzusammensetzung, bestehend aus einem filmbildenden Polymeren, welches Radikale aufweist, die mit Isocyanradikalen reagieren können, in einem Lösungsmittel, die dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass das Lösungsmittel Radikale enthält, die mit Isocyanradikalen reagieren können und dass das filmbildende Polymere von mindestens einem Vinylmonomeren mit einem Carboxyl-, Hydroxyl-, Amino-, Imino-, Nitril-, Amido- oder Thioradikal abgeleitet ist. Mit Hilfe der neuen erfindungsgemässen Polyolzusammensetzung gelingt es, verbesserte Polyurethane herzustellen. Die neuartige erfindungsgemässe Polyolzusammensetzung enthält zwei wesentliche Komponenten : ein relativ hochmolekulares filmbildendes Polymeres und ein reaktives Lösungsmittel für dieses Polymere. Die in der reaktiven Lösung anwendbaren filmbildenden Polymeren müssen Gruppen enthalten, die mit den - N=C = O-Gruppen der für die Herstellung der Polyurethane verwendeten Isocyanaten reagieren. Solche Gruppen, welche vorzugsweise aktiver Wasserstoff sind, können in das Polymere auf verschiedene Art eingeführt werden. Im Falle eines Homopolymeren muss das zur Herstellung des Homopolymeren verwendete Monomere mit C = C-Doppelbindungen wenigstens eine solche reaktive Gruppe an die Vinylgruppe, welche für die Bildung der polymeren Kette verantwortlich ist, gebunden enthalten. Wird ein Copolymeres verwendet, muss wenigstens eines der Monomeren mit C=C-Doppelbindungen, welches zur Herstellung der Copolymeren angewendet wird, wenigstens eine solche reaktive Gruppe gebunden enthalten, wobei es nicht erforderlich ist, dass alle Monomeren solche Gruppen enthalten. Die Verteilung solcher reaktiver Gruppen ist nicht auf Endstellungen begrenzt. Solche Gruppen können im Gegenteil über die gesamte Polymerenkette auf verschiedene Stellen verteilt sein. Die Art der Stickstoffbindung zwischen dem Polyisocyanat und dem filmbildenden Polymeren kann willkürlich durch entsprechende Auswahl der reaktiven Gruppe, in der polymeren Kette variiert werden. Die Chemie der Bildung und die Bedeutung der Art der Bindung sind dem Fachmann bekannt und werden z. B. in"Block and Graft Polymers", William J. Burlant und Allan S. Hoffman, Reinhold Publishing Company [1\ : 160], S. 79-90 beschrieben. <Desc/Clms Page number 2> Wie oben angeführt, ist die bevorzugte aktive Gruppe ein aktiver Wasserstoff. (Die Bezeichnung aktiver Wasserstoff bezieht sich auf Wasserstoffatome, welche auf Grund ihrer Stellung im Molekül ge- mäss dem Zerewitinoff-Test, welcher von Wohler im Journal of the American Chemical Society, 49, 3181 [1927] beschrieben wurde, aktiv sind.) Beispiele reaktiver Gruppen, die erfolgreich angewendet werden können, sind-COOH,-OH,-NH, =NH, =N,-CONH , substituierter Ammoniak, wie quaternäres Ammonium, Mercaptoverbindungen usw. Beispiele von Monomeren mit reaktiven Gruppen sind Acrylsäure, Methacrylsäure, Crotonsäure, Itaconsäure, 2-Hydroxyäthylmethacrylat, tert.-Butyl- aminoäthylmethacrylat, Dimethylaminoäthylmethacrylat, Diglykolester von Itaconsäure, Acrylamide oder substituierte Acrylamide. Ist die reaktive Gruppe im Polymeren ein Stickstoffderivat, wird sie auch als Katalysator für die Polyurethanbildung wirken. In diesem Fall ist es nicht wesentlich, dass das Polymere ein filmbildendes ist, obwohl dies eine Ausnahme von der oben angegebenen allgemeinen Regel ist. Ist die reaktive Gruppe eine Carboxylgruppe, kann es für bestimmte Zwecke erwünscht sein, die Struktur des filmbildenden Polymeren zu modifizieren. Im besonderen ist bekannt, dass das Reaktions- produkt zwischen COOH - und - N=C= 0 - Gruppen ein Amid und C02 ist. Diese Reaktion ist für die Schaumherstellung erwünscht, jedoch nicht erwünscht, wenn im Fertigprodukt eine Porosität vermieden werden soll. Wie oben angeführt, können die Monomeren mit C = C-Doppelbindungen zur Herstellung von Homopolymeren verwendet werden, die als erfindungsgemässe filmbildende Polymere anwendbar sind, oder sie können vorzugsweise durch Copolymerisation mit einem oder mehreren zusätzlichen Monome- ren mit C=C-Doppelbindungen in Copolymere übergeführt werden, welche jedoch nicht unbedingt eine Gruppe besitzen müssen, welche mit dem - N = C = 0 der Polyisocyanate reagiert. Beispiele der andern Monomeren, die keine solche reaktiven Gruppen haben, sind Styrole (z. B. Styrol, Vinyltoluol, 2, 5-Di- chlorstyrol, 2, 4-Dimethylstyrol usw.) ;. Butadine (z. B. Butadien, Dichlorbutadien, Isopren usw.) Acryl- säureester (z. B. Alkylacrylate, Alkylmethacrylate usw.) Vinylester (z. B. Vinylnaphthalin, Vinylpyridin usw.) und andere in verschiedenen Kombinationen, in Abhängigkeit von den erwünschten Eigenschaften im Polyurethan. Für die Copolymerisationsreaktion können auch Säuren, wie Fumarsäure, Maleinsäure und Itaconsäure angewendet werden. Wie aus dem vorangehenden hervorgeht, können filmbildende Monomere mit aromatischen oder aliphatischem Kern (oder beiden) angewendet werden. Die Wahl des Kerns hängt von den erwünschten Eigenschaften des Polyurethans ab, z. B. ergeben filmbildende Polymere mit einem aromatischen Kern eher steifere Produkte, jene mit aliphatischem Kern eher weichere Produkte. Das Molgewicht des filmbildenden Polymeren variiert je nach dem verwendeten Polymeren innerhalb relativ weiter Grenzen. Im allgemeinen werden die filmbildenden Polymere ein Molgewicht von über 5000 aufweisen, während die besten Eigenschaften mit Molgewichten von 10000 oder grösser erhalten werden. Die obere Grenze für das Molgewicht ergibt sich aus praktischen Betrachtungen. Das Molgewicht des Polymeren darf nicht so hoch sein, dass eine etwa 10%igue Lösung (hergestellt durch Auflösen des Polymeren im reaktiven Lösungsmittel) nicht mehr frei fliesst, d. h. die Lösung sollte eine Viskosität von weniger als etwa 40000 cp haben. Das Verbindungsgewicht des filmbildenden Polymeren (in bezug auf das Polyisocyanat, mit dem es umgesetzt wird) spielt eine ausserordentlich wichtige Rolle hinsichtlich der Eigenschaften des Polyurethan-Reaktionsproduktes, da die Häufigkeit der reaktiven Gruppen den Ort und auch die Anzahl der Bindungen bestimmt, die während der Reaktion zwischen den Polymeren und dem Polyisocyanat gebildet werden. Um nach der Isocyanatreaktion ein verwendbares Produkt zu erhalten, sollte das filmbildende Polymere eine möglichst kleine Anzahl reaktiver Gruppen enthalten, so dass das Verbindungsgewicht des Polymeren nicht zu hoch ist, d. h. vorzugsweise unter 4000. Je höher das Verbindungsgewicht ist, um so weicher und elastischer wird im allgemeinen das Reaktionsprodukt. Je niedriger das Verbindungsgewicht ist, um so fester wird das Reaktionsprodukt sein. Das optimale Verbindungsgewicht für ein gegebenes Polymeres (zur Herstellung eines Endproduktes mit gewünschten Eigenschaften) kann leicht durch einen einfachen Versuch ermittelt werden. Da das Verbindungsgewicht eines gegebenen Polymeren sowohl die einzelnen Monomeren, die für die Herstellung des Polymeren verwendet werden, als auch die Molverhältnisse solcher Monomeren wiederspiegelt, kann das Polymere leicht durch geeignete Wahl dieser Variablen auf ein gewünschtes Verbindungsgewicht zugeschnitten werden. Wie oben angeführt, ist die zweite wesentliche Komponente der neuerartigen Polyolzusammensetzung ein reaktives Lösungsmittel für das filmbildende Polymere. Dieses Lösungsmittel muss ver- <Desc/Clms Page number 3> schiedenen Anforderungen genügen : 1. Es muss das filmbildende Polymere lösen. 2. Es muss wenigstens zwei (polyfunktionelle) Gruppen enthalten, die mit dem -N=C=O des Polyisocyanats so reagieren, dass ein polymeres Reaktionsprodukt mit dem Polyisocyanat entsteht. 3. Es soll unter den Bedingungen der Polymerisation weder mit dem für die Herstellung des filmbildenden Polymeren verwendeten Monomeren mit C=C-Doppelbindungen, noch mit den filmbildenden Polymeren (was besonders dann gilt, wenn das filmbildende Polymere im Lösungsmittel erzeugt wird) in mehr als einem vernachlässigbaren Ausmass reagieren. 4. Es soll mit dem zur Herstellung des Polyurethans verwendeten Polyisocyanat mischbar sein. 5. Es soll nach Zugabe des filmbildendenpolymeren ohne Bildung unerwünschter Abscheidungen zu verdünnen sein. Beispiele für anwendbare Lösungsmittel sind : Polyole (z. B. Glykole, Triole, Tetrole) Polyglykole, Ätheralkohole und Polyester u. ähnl. Flüssigkeiten mit endständigen Gruppen, die aktiven Wasserstoff enthalten, wie-OH,-COOH,-SH usw. Typische Polyole sind z. B. Pentandlol-1, 5, 2-Äthylpropan- diol-1, 3, 2-Methylpropandiol-1, 3, Hexandiol, 3, 4-Dihydroxycyclopentan und seine Polyäther, Xylol- -ci, ct-diole, Trimethylolpropan, Hexentriole und Triole mit Polypropylen oder Äthylenketten usw. Typische Polyglykole umfassen Polypropylen- oder Polyäthylenglykole mit einem Molgewicht bis etwa 4000 usw. Typische Polyester umfassen solche mit relativ niedrigem Molgewicht und niedriger Viskosität, hergestellt aus Hexendiol und Adipinsäure, Polyester aus cyclischen Diolen oder Triolen usw. Die letzteren sind geeignete Lösungsmittel für solche Polymere, die in Polyolen aus aliphatischen Molekülen unlöslich sind. Die Polymerisationsreaktion, bei der das filmbildende Polymere entsteht, kann (muss jedoch nicht) im reaktiven Lösungsmittel erfolgen. Dies wird bevorzugt, da auf diese Weise die neuartige Polyolzusammensetzung leicht hergestellt werden kann. Die Polyolzusammensetzung (enthaltend das filmbildende Polymere, gelöst im reaktiven Lösungsmittel) sollte mindestens etwa 10 Gew.-% und vorzugsweise etwa 20-50 grew.-% des Polymeren enthalten. Lösungen mit mehr als 50 Gel.-% des filmbildenden Polymeren sind für praktische Zwecke meist zu viskos. Die Viskosität der Polyolzusammensetzung (enthaltend das filmbildende Polymere und das reaktive Lösungsmittel) sollte weniger als etwa 40000 cp betragen. Im allgemeinen sollte die Viskosität der Polyolzusammensetzung so sein, dass sie durch einfaches Vermischen mit zusätzlichen Mengen polyfunktioneller, flüssiger Reaktanten verdünnt werden kann. Die Viskosität der Polyolzusammensetzung sollte auch niedrig genug sein, um ein leichtes Vermischen der Isocyanate mit der Polyolzusammensetzung zu erlauben. Die folgenden Beispiele erläutern die Erfindung. Bei diesen Beispielen wurden die Polymerisationsreaktionen in einem Dreihalskolben mit Rührer, Rückflusskühler, Thermometer und einer Verbindung zu einer Stickstoffbombe, durchgeführt. Vor der Zugabe des Katalysators wurde der Kolben samt Inhalt 30 min mit Stickstoff gespült und erhitzt. Nach Beendigung der Reaktion wurde Toluol zugegeben und die letzten Wasserspuren im Kolben durch azeotrope Destillation entfernt. Die Reaktion wurde so lange EMI3.1 P2010 (ein Polypropylenätherdiol mit zwei Hydroxyl-Endgruppen, einem Molgewicht von 2000 und einem Verbindungsgewicht von 1000) gegeben. Nach Erhöhen der Temperatur auf 700 C wurden 1, 5 g Azobisbutyronitril als Katalysator zugegeben. Die Polymerisation erfolgte dann während 3 h bei 1300 C. Das Ergebnis der Reaktion war eine viskose Lösung mit 1, 3% nicht umgesetztem Styrol und 2, 5"/0 Äthylhexylacrylat. Das Verbindungsgewicht der Lösung betrug 1800. Die Lösung konnte nicht mit andern Polyolen, jedoch mit aromatischen und chlorierten Kohlenwasserstoffen verdünnt werden. Beispiel 2 : In den Kolben wurden 220g Styrol, 125 g Äthylhexylacrylat, 32g wasserfreie Acrylsäure und 500 g Pluracol P2010 (das in Beispiel 1 verwendete Polypropylenätherdiol) gegeben. Die Polymerisation erfolgte unter den gleichen Bedingungen wie in Beispiel 1, wobei wieder 1, 5 g Azobisbutyronitril als Katalysator verwendet wurden. Die erhaltene Polymerlösung enthielt 1, 3"/0 nicht umgesetztes Styrol, 2% Äthylhexylacrylat und 0, 7% Acrylsäure. Das Verbindungsgewicht für die Carboxylgruppe wurde durch Titration der alkoholi- schen Lösung mit 2n-KOH bestimmt. Der für die Lösung berechnete Wert betrug 2950, welcher, berechnet auf den Polymerengehalt 1200 entspricht. Das Verbindungsgewicht aller reaktiven Gruppen in der <Desc/Clms Page number 4> Lösung (Carboxyl- und Hydroxylgruppen) betrug 1060. Der Polymergehalt der Lösung war 410/0. Diese Lösung konnte ohne Schwierigkeit mit Polyhydroxylalkoholen verdünnt werden und war mit den Polyisocyanaten verträglich. Beispiel 3 : Die Reaktion wurde wie in Beispiel 1 durchgeführt, der Reaktionskolben enthielt : EMI4.1 <tb> <tb> Styrol <SEP> 220 <SEP> g <SEP> <tb> Äthylhexylacrylat <SEP> 125 <SEP> g <tb> wasserfreie <SEP> Acrylsäure <SEP> 128 <SEP> g <tb> Pluracol <SEP> P2010 <SEP> (das <SEP> in <SEP> Beispiel <SEP> 1 <tb> verwendete <SEP> Polypropylenätherdiol <SEP> 600 <SEP> g <tb> Azobisbutyronitril <SEP> 3 <SEP> g <SEP> <tb> Nicht umgesetzte Monomere waren: 1% Styrol, 2, 1% Äthylhexylacrylat, 1% Acrylsäure. Das Carboxyäquivalentgewicht betrug für die Lösung 790 und für das Polymere 325. Das Verbindungsgewicht der Lösung (für die Cyanatgruppe) betrug 520. Die viskose Lösung war verträglich mit Polyolen, Polyäthern und andern reaktiven Zusätzen, die für die Herstellung von Polyurethanen verwendbar sind. Die Produkte der Beispiele 1 - 3 wurden zur Herstellung cellulärer Polyurethanprodukte verwendet. Die Beispiele 4 - 7 enthalten Vergleichsversuche für die Reaktion der Produkte der Beispiele 1 - 3 mit Toluylendiisocyanat (80go 2, 4- und 20% 2, 6-Toluylendiisocyanat ; Äquivalentgewicht 37). Das übliche Verhältnis zwischen den-N=C= 0-Gruppen und den andern reaktiven Gruppen (wie Hydroxyl- EMI4.2 nisses verwendet, wobei X die Summe der Äquivalente aller reaktiven Nicht-Cyanatgruppen ist. Die Menge des Wassers war so berechnet, um einen Schaumstoff niedriger Dichte zu ergeben. Beispiel 4 : Das in Beispiel 1 erhaltene Produkt konnte nur ohne Verdünnung verwendet werden, da es sonst fest wurde. Zu 50 g der Verbindung von Beispiel 1 wurden 0, 5 g eines oberflächenaktiven Silikonöls als Schaumstabilisator und zu dieser Mischung 1 g Wasser und 0, 5 g N-Äthylmorpholin zugefügt, wobei letzteres als Katalysator diente. Zu dieser Mischung wurden dann 7 g des Diisocyanats gegeben, worauf ein sehr viskoses Material gebildet wurde, dessen Volumen nur sehr wenig zunahm und das sich langsam verfestigte. Nach 24 h bei 700 C zeigte das Material eine sehr geringe Festigkeit und schien den üblich hergestellten Produkten unterlegen. Beispiel 5 : 25 g des Reaktionsproduktes von Beispiel 2 und 25 g eines Polyoxypropylentriols aus Trimethylolpropan mit einem Molgewicht von 2600, einer Hydroxylzahl von 63 (mg KOH/g), einer Viskosität von 440 cp bei 250 C und einem Verbindungsgewicht von 890 wurden vermischt, wobei eine einheitliche Lösung mit einer Viskosität von 11000 cp erhalten wurde. EMI4.3 zeigte das Produkt eine geringe Schrumpfung, gleichmässige kleine Zellen und eine niedrige Zugfestigkeit. Beispiel 6 : 25 g des Reaktionsproduktes von Beispiel 3, 25 g des Triols von Beispiel 5 und 1/2 g Silikonöl wurden vermischt. Die erhaltene Lösung hatte eine Viskosität von 15000 cp. Mit dieser Lösung wurden 1, 8 g Wasser und 0, 5 g N-Äthylmorpholin vermischt, worauf 18, 5 g Diisocyanat zugegeben wurden. In einer Form von 1200 ml Fassungsraum bildete sich langsam ein Schaum, der schliesslich die Form völlig ausfüllte. Der Schaum verfestigte sich nach 25 min zu einem widerstandsfähigen Festkörper. Nach 24stündigem Erhitzen bei 700 C wurde ein hervorragendes zelluläres Material, welches eine sehr hohe Belastungsfähigkeit, sehr gutes Gefüge und gute Festigkeit aufwies, erhalten. Dieses EMI4.4 EMI4.5 mit 2, 8 und das Wasser/Isocyanatverhältnis, wie oben, aufrechterhalten. 25 g Pluracol P2010, 25 g des vorher verwendeten Triols und 0, 5 g Silikonöl wurden vermischt. Es wurde eine Lösung mit der niedrigen Viskosität von 480 cp erhalten, zu der 1, 45 g Wasser und 0, 5 g N-Äthylmorpholin und darauf <Desc/Clms Page number 5> 13, 5 g des Diisocyanats zugefügt wurden. Die flüssige Mischung wurde in eine Form mit 800 ml Fassungsraum gegossen. Beim Schäumen entwich ein beträchtlicher Teil des Cl., dise Form wurde nur zur Hälfte mit Schaum ausgefüllt. Um ein etwas elastisches Produkt zu erhalten, musste der Schaum eine Woche bei 700 C gehärtet werden. Das Produkt zeigte eine sehr grobe Zellstruktur. Beispiel 8: Zur Herstellung eines Copolymeren wurde als eines der reaktiven Monomeren Methylmethacrylat und folgende andere Substanzen verwendet : EMI5.1 <tb> <tb> Methylmethacrylat <SEP> 300 <SEP> g <tb> Äthylhexylacrylat <SEP> 100 <SEP> g <tb> Acrylsäure <SEP> 60 <SEP> g <SEP> <tb> Pluracol <SEP> P2010 <SEP> 500 <SEP> g <tb> Als Katalysator wurden 2 g Azobisbutyronitril und 1 g Benzoylperoxyd verwendet. Es wurde eine viskose Lösung erhalten, welche auf gleiche Art wie die Produkte in den Beispielen 2 und 3 verwendet werden konnten. Diese Lösung hatte ein Verbindungsgewicht von 1200 und ergab einen Schaum von besserer Qualität als das Styrol-Perpolymere von Beispiel 2. In diesem Beispiel waren alle bei der Polymerisation verwendeten Komponenten aliphatisch. Beispiel 9 : Unter Anwendung eines Hydroxy-Comonomeren wurde ein Copolymeres hergestellt. Ein solches Polymeres reagiert mit der Isocyanatgruppe und bildet Urethanbindungen. Eine solche Reaktion erzeugt kein Gas und das Reaktionsprodukt mit dem Isocyanat eignet sich zur Herstellung kontinuierlicher Filme oder nicht poröser Gussstücke. Zur Durchführung der Polymerisation wurde der Reaktionskolben beschickt mit : EMI5.2 <tb> <tb> Styrol <SEP> 220 <SEP> g <tb> Äthylhexylacrylat <SEP> (97, <SEP> 6% <SEP> Reinheit <SEP> ; <SEP> <tb> Molekular- <SEP> und <SEP> Verdünnungsgewicht <SEP> 130) <SEP> 124, <SEP> 5 <SEP> g <tb> Hydroxyäthylmethacrylat <SEP> 64 <SEP> g <tb> Pluracol <SEP> TP <SEP> 440 <SEP> (ein <SEP> Triol <SEP> mit <SEP> einem <SEP> Molgewicht <tb> von <SEP> 400 <SEP> und <SEP> einem <SEP> Verbindungsgewicht <SEP> von <SEP> 133) <SEP> 400 <SEP> g <tb> Das Reaktionsprodukt war eine viskose Lösung mit einem Verbindungsgewicht für Hydroxyl von 230. Beispiel 10 : Es wurde der gleiche Ansatz wie in Beispiel 9 verwendet, an Stelle von Pluracol TP 440 wurde jedoch Pluracol P2010 verwendet. Es wurde wieder eine viskose Lösung mit einem Verbindungsgewicht von 880 erhalten. Beispiel 11 : Für die Polymerisationsreaktion wurden die folgenden Komponenten vermischt. I. Dupont de Nemours and Company, Inc. ; besteht aus 80% 2, 4- und 20% 2, 6-Toluylendiisocyanat) zugefügt. Durch diese Zugabe wurde die Viskosität des Materials auf 3000 cp vermindert und die übrigen Komponenten für die Herstellung des zellulären Produktes, nämlich EMI6.1 <tb> <tb> Zinnoctoat <SEP> 0, <SEP> 2 <SEP> g <SEP> <tb> Wasser <SEP> 1, <SEP> 4g <SEP> <tb> N-Äthylmorpholin <SEP> 0, <SEP> 5g <SEP> <tb> konnten leicht zugemischt werden. Es entstand ein Schaum, welcher nach 30 min langem Härten bei 800 C völlig fest war und aus der Form entfernt werden konnte. Seine Dichte betrug 32 kg/m3, die Zellen waren klein und einheitlich (etwa 0, 5 mm Durchmesser), für die Kompressionsverformung (RMA) bei 25% Kompression nach 5-tägigem Altern waren 15, 6 kg erforderlich. Die letztere Zahl war viel höher als jene des Schaumes, der durch Ersatz der Polymerlösung in dem obigen Ansatz durch ein Diol (Pluracol P2020) erhalten wurde und der eine ähnliche Dichte aufwies, jedoch bei 25% Kompression einerRMA-Kompressionsverformung von nur 6, 8 kg entsprach. Beispiel 13 : Die Filmeigenschaften des Reaktionsproduktes von Beispiel 10 wurden wie folgt untersucht : 25 g der Polymerlösung von Beispiel 10 und 25 g Pluracol TP 4040 wurden mit 4, 5 g Toluylendiisocyanat vermischt, wobei ein NCO/OH-Verhältnis von 1, 1 erhalten wurde. Diese Lösung blieb 24 h flüssig, worauf sie zu gelieren begann. Es wurde ein Film gegossen und 3 Tage bei 60 C härten gelassen, während er der Luftfeuchtigkeit ausgesetzt war. Der so erhaltene 0, 5 mm-Film hatte eine Zugfestigkeit von 246 kg/cm2 und eine Dehnung von 80%. Beispiel 14 : Unter Anwendung von 25 g Pluracol TP 4040, 25 g Pluracol P2020 und 4, 5 g To- luylendiisocyanat wurde eine Lösung hergestellt, welche in einem geschlossenen Gefäss über 1 Woche lang unverändert blieb. Wie oben wurde ein Film gegossen, der erst nach 5 Tagen härtete. Nach EMI6.2 von Beispiel 10 enthält. Es folgt nun eine Aufstellung von Polymerlösungen, die in Verbindung mit der Erfindung anwendbar sind. Als Polymerisationskatalysator diente bei diesen Reaktionen Azobisbutyronitril in einer Menge von 0, 250/0 bezogen auf die Monomeren. Ausserdem wurde der Kolben mit einer Mischung von 1800 Teilen eines Propylenoxydadduktes von Glycerin mit einem durchschnittlichen Molekulargewicht von 3000, einer durchschnittlichen Hydroxylzahl von 56, 0 und 20 Teilen Dibenzoylperoxyd beschickt. Während einer Zeitdauer von 5, 5 h und einer Temperatur zwischen 80 und 900C wurden 200 Teile Acrylnitril hinzugefügt. Am Ende EMI7.2 analyse des filmbildenden Teiles des Produktes zeigte einen wesentlichen Grad von Pfropfpolymerisation. EMI7.3 hergestellt wie oben beschrieben 50 Teile Propylenoxydaddukt von Glycerin mit einem durchschnittlichen Molekulargewicht von 3000 und einer durchschnittlichen Hydroxylzahl von 56, 0 50 Teile <Desc/Clms Page number 8> Oberflächenaktives Mittel (Copolymer von Triäthoxydimethyl- polysiloxan mit einem Molekulargewicht von 1524 und Mono- butoxyendblockiertem Polyoxyäthylenoxypropylenglycol mit 50 Gel.-% Oxyäthylen und einem Molekulargewicht von 1500) 2 Teile Wasser 3, 5 Teile Tetramethylbutandiamin 0, 1 Teile Stannooctoat 0, 3 Teile Toluylendiisocyanat 43, 7 Teile Die Mischung wurde gerührt und in eine offene Form gegeben, sobald es zu schäumen begann. Folgende Eigenschaften des Schaumes wurden gefunden : Zugfestigkeit 1, 39 kg/cm2 % Dehnung 165 Dichte 1, 65 Kompressionslast EMI8.1 12 kg/cm290% 0, 47 kg/cm2 Durch die Anwendung eines reaktiven Lösungsmittels an Stelle eines reinen Verdünnungsmittels ist seine Entfernung vom Endprodukt nicht notwendig, wodurch die Schrumpfung, die mit einer solchen Entfernung einhergeht, vermieden wird. Ein weiterer Vorteil liegt in der Anwendung der erfindungsgemässen Zusammensetzungen zur Erhöhung der Viskosität der Mischungen, die für die Polyurethanherstellung verwendet wird, wodurch die Fliesseigenschaften einer solchen Mischung verbessert werden. Bei der Herstellung von zellulär erweiterten Produkten verhindert die hohe Viskosität der Mischung den Austritt der Gase aus den Schaumzellen, wodurch ein Produkt mit feinem Gefüge hergestellt werden kann. Dies würde sonst nach einem "one-shot"-Verfahren nur schwierig zu erreichen sein. Dadurch entfällt die bisherige Einschränkung auf die Anwendung von Polyestern und Präpolymeren hoher Viskosität für die Polyurethanreaktion. Auf diese Weise kann das sogenannt"one-shot"-Verfahren wirksamer angewendet werden. Der hier verwendete Ausdruck "Polyurethan" umfasst weitgehend die Polymeren Reaktionsprodukte von Isocyanaten mit Verbindungen, die Gruppen enthalten, welche mit den-N=C=0-Gruppen der Isocyanate reagieren können. PATENTANSPRÜCHE : 1. Polyolzusammensetzung, bestehend aus einem filmbildenden Polymeren, welches Radikale aufweist, die mit Isocyanradikalen reagieren können, in einem Lösungsmittel, dadurch gekenn- zeichnet, dass das Lösungsmittel Radikale enthält, die mit Isocyanradikalen reagieren können und dass das filmbildende Polymere von mindestens einem Vinylmonomeren mit einem Carboxyl-, Hydroxyl-, Amino-, Imino-, Nitril-, Amido- oder Thioradikal abgeleitet ist.
Claims (1)
- 2. Polyolzusammensetzung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das filmbildende Polymere mindestens etwa 10 Gew.-%, vorzugsweise 20-50 Gew.-%, der Zusammensetzung beträgt.
