Abstract

La presente se refiere a una cepa mutante de Clostridium acetobutylicum que comprende actividad atenuada de glicerol quinasa, Además, se refiere a un consorcio de Clostridium que comprende por lo menos dicha cepa mutante y por lo menos otra especie de Clostridium elegida entre C. sporogenes y C. sphenoides. Como esta cepa modificada puede adaptarse para el crecimiento y para la producción de 1,3-propanodiol en un medio de cultivo apropiado con alto contenido de glicerol, la presente además se refiere a un método para la producción de 1,3-propanodiol y ácido butírico, mediante el cultivo de al menos esta cepa mutante en un medio de cultivo apropiado. Reivindicación 1: Una cepa mutante de Clostridium acetobutylicum que expresa los genes dhaB1, dhaB2 y dhaT de C. butyricum y que comprende actividad atenuada de glicerol quinasa.
