Abstract

um método para produção de um produto de fermentação compreendendo: prover um material de biomassa; pré-tratar o material de biomassa contatando o material de biomassa com uma solução contendo pelo menos um ácido alfa-hidroxi sulfônico para produzir uma mistura de biomassa pré-tratada contendo pelo menos um açúcar fermentável; adicionar uma ou mais enzimas de sacarificação para a mistura de biomassa pré-tratada, em que a mistura de biomassa pré-tratada possui uma condição adequada para as uma ou mais enzimas de sacarificação; realizar a hidrólise enzimática de celulose pelas uma ou mais enzimas de sacarificação por mais do que 24 horas para gerar um hidrolisado; e adicionar pelo menos um microrganismo de fermentação para o hidrolisado sob uma condição adequada para sacarificação e fermentação simultânea.
