Abstract

Un proceso para preparar donepezilo utilizando una nueva sal intermediaria de formula (8), especialmente el tosilato, puede lograr buenos rendimientos. Reivindicacion 1: Un proceso para preparar donepezilo, que comprende: (a) hidrogenar una sal de adicion de ácido de formula (8) en donde X representa un contraion ácido, mediante reaccion con H en presencia de un catalizador de hidrogenacion para formar un compuesto de formula (5) y (b) hacer reaccionar dicho compuesto de formula (5) con un haluro de bencilo para formar donepezilo de formula (1).
