- FIG. 13 is a cross-sectional micrograph of the laminated film fixed to the surface of the CsI: Tl scintillator with a silicone-based adhesive.
- silicone-based adhesive SC Since the silicone-based adhesive SC has an appropriate hardness, unlike the acrylic adhesive AC in FIG. 12, it does not enter the crystal tip of the CsI: Tl scintillator SY, but when vacuum-sealed, it does not enter. , Silicone adhesive adheres to cover the entire surface of the uneven part of the crystal tip of the CsI: Tl scintillator, and the action that occurs at the interface between the CsI: Tl scintillator SY and the moisture-proof layer reduces light loss and sharpness. Was causing.
- the inventors made a difference in the shape of the interface with the crystal tip depending on the adhesive strength and hardness of the outermost surface of the material used as the moisture-proof layer, and filled the voids at the crystal tip. Abstract
