Definitions
- the present invention relates to a compound, a material for an organic electroluminescence device containing the compound, an organic electroluminescence device using the compound, and an electronic device equipped with the organic electroluminescence device.
- organic electroluminescence devices using organic substances are promising for use as solid light-emitting, inexpensive, large-area full-color display devices, and many developments have been made. ing.
- an organic EL element is composed of a light emitting layer and a pair of counter electrodes sandwiching the light emitting layer. When an electric field is applied between both electrodes, electrons are injected from the cathode side and holes are injected from the anode side. Further, the electrons recombine with holes in the light emitting layer to generate an excited state, and energy is emitted as light when the excited state returns to the ground state.
- organic EL elements can be obtained in various light emitting colors by using various light emitting materials for the light emitting layer, and therefore, researches for practical application to displays and the like are active.
- research on light emitting materials of the three primary colors of red, green, and blue is the most active, and intensive research has been conducted with the aim of improving characteristics.
