提供了一种液晶显示面板及其驱动方法。液晶显示面板包括多个像素单元(P(x,y)),每个像素单元(P(x,y))包括:数据线(Data(X));第一扫描线(Gate1(y));第二扫描线(Gate2(y));第一开关(T1);第二开关(T2);以及像素电极(Vpixel)。液晶显示面板及其驱动方法,能够实现同一像素在一帧的不同时间内呈现出不同的电压,并且液晶显示面板内的像素单元(P(x,y))的设计不会引起开口率和穿透率的降低。

相关申请的交叉引用
本申请要求享有2014年12月10日提交的名称为“液晶显示面板及其驱动方法”的中国专利申请CN201410752075.5的优先权,该申请的全部内容通过引用并入本文中。
技术领域
本发明是有关于一种液晶显示器,且特别是有关于一种液晶显示面板及其驱动方法。
背景技术
垂直配向型液晶显示器(Vertical Alignment Liquid Crystal Display,简称VA-LCD)以其宽视野角、高对比度和无须摩擦配向等优势,成为大尺寸TFT-LCD的常用显示器。根据结构和工艺的不同,形成了多种不同的VA显示技术,作为VA显示技术的共性,不同视野角下的色偏(Color Shift)现象是VA产品设计必须面对的重大课题。
为了解决这种大视角下色偏的现象,本领域技术人员设计了多种像素结构来实现降低色偏的目的。常见的针对这种大视角下色偏的对策是采用空间法,即将像素单元的ITO区域划分为若干个畴(Domain),通过设计多个TFT的方式令不同畴之间亮度不同,来达到大视角下低色偏的效果。
图1所为现有技术中具有三个TFT的像素单元的等效电路图。Gn输出高电平时,通过TFT1向A区的液晶电容C1c-A、存储电容Cst-A、电荷共享电容Ccs-A和Ccs-B进行充放电,通过TFT2向B区的液晶电容C1c-B和存储电容Cst-B进行充放电,最后达到基本相同的像素电压VpA和VpB。充放电结束后,TFT1和TFT2关断,Gn+1输出高电平,TFT3打开,通过电荷共享电容Ccs-A和Ccs-B的电容耦合分压,在节点C形成的电压就是B区域最后的像素电压VpB。由于像素电压VpA和像素电压VpB的存在压差,使得不同畴之间的亮度不同,因此实现了大视角下低色偏的效果。
然而,上述设计会使得开口率较正常的像素设计有很大的降低,进而引起Cell(压接了PCB和COF的液晶屏)穿透率的降低,导致背光源成本的提高。因此,如何解决上述 问题,在不降低开口率和穿透率的情况下,实现大视角下低色偏显示效果,乃业界所致力的课题之一。
发明内容
本发明所要解决的技术问题之一是需要提供一种液晶显示面板,该液晶显示面板能够在不降低开口率和穿透率的情况下,实现大视角下低色偏显示效果。另外还提供了该液晶显示面板的驱动方法。
1)为了解决上述技术问题,本发明提供了一种液晶显示面板,包括:多个像素单元,每个像素单元包括:一数据线;一第一扫描线;一第二扫描线,其与所述第一扫描线相邻,配置以发送预先设定的扫描信号;一第一开关,其连接于所述数据线和一像素电极之间,配置以接收所述第一扫描线的扫描信号而开启;一第二开关,其连接于一像素电极和一公共电极之间,配置以接收所述第二扫描线的预先设定的扫描信号而临界开启;一存储电容,其连接于所述像素电极和所述公共电极之间;一液晶电容,其一端连接于所述像素电极;其中,所述像素电极在第一开关开启时,接收来自所述数据线的数据信号而具有电位,并且在所述第二开关临界开启时,该像素电极的电位通过该第二开关逐渐减少,直至与所述公共电极的电位一致。
2)在本发明的第1)项的一个优选实施方式中,所述第一开关和所述第二开关均包括一栅极、一第一源/漏极以及一第二源/漏极,其中,该第一开关的栅极连接所述第一扫描线,该第一开关的第一源/漏极和第二源/漏极分别连接所述数据线和所述像素电极;该第二开关的栅极连接所述第二扫描线,该第二开关的第一源/漏极和第二源/漏极分别连接所述像素电极和所述公共电极。
3)在本发明的第1)项或第2)项中的一个优选实施方式中,所述预先设定的扫描信号为一组随着所述数据线的数据信号的变化而变化的信号。
4)在本发明的第1)项至第3)项中任一个优选实施方式中,所述预先设定的扫描信号的正向电压基于所述公共电压和规定调整电压得到;所述预先设定的扫描信号的负向电压基于所述数据信号的负向电压和所述规定调整电压得到。
5)在本发明的第1)项至第4)项中任一个优选实施方式中,所述规定调整电压的范围是-14V至14V。
6)根据本发明另一方面,还提供了一种上述液晶显示面板的驱动方法,该方法包括:在一正/负半周期间,多条扫描线中的一第一扫描线传送一扫描信号使所述第一开关开启,以将所述数据线中的一数据线的一数据信号传送至一像素电极,而使该像素电极具有电位;同时,在该正/负半周期间,与所述第一扫描线相邻的第二扫描线传送预先设定的扫描信号使所述第二开关临界开启,并通过该第二开关逐渐拉降/拉升所述像素电极的电位,直至所述像素电极的电位与所述公共电极的电位一致。
7)在本发明的第6)项的一个优选实施方式中,所述预先设定的扫描信号为一组随着所述数据线的数据信号的变化而变化的信号。
8)在本发明的第6)项或第7)项中的一个优选实施方式中,所述预先设定的扫描信号的正向电压基于所述公共电压和规定调整电压得到;所述预先设定的扫描信号的负向电压基于所述数据信号的负向电压和所述规定调整电压得到。
9)在本发明的第6)项至第8)项中任一个优选实施方式中,所述规定调整电压的范围是-14V至14V。
与现有技术相比,本发明的一个或多个实施例可以具有如下优点:
本发明实施例的液晶显示面板的像素单元未采用空间法来设计,且通过预先设定的扫描信号对该液晶显示面板进行驱动,能够在不降低开口率的情况下实现同一像素电极在一帧的不同时间呈现出不同的电压,即同一像素在一帧的不同时间呈现不同的亮度,进而实现低色偏的功能。并且由于本发明实施例的液晶显示面板没有降低Cell穿透率,因此无需对背光源增加额外的电路,进而不会增加背光源的成本。
本发明的其它特征和优点将在随后的说明书中阐述,并且,部分地从说明书中变得显而易见,或者通过实施本发明而了解。本发明的目的和其他优点可通过在说明书、权利要求书以及附图中所特别指出的结构来实现和获得。

具体实施方式
为使本发明的目的、技术方案和优点更加清楚,以下结合附图对本发明作进一步地详细说明。
请参考图2,图2是根据本发明一实施例的液晶显示面板的结构示意图。该显示面板包括影像显示区100、源极驱动器200以及栅极驱动器300。影像显示区100包括由多条数据线(也可称为资料线,如图所示的N条数据线DL1~DLN)与多条扫描线(也可称为闸极线,如图所示的M条扫描线GL1~GLM)交错配置形成的阵列以及多个像素结构110。源极驱动器200通过与其耦接的多条数据线将所提供的数据信号传输至影像显示区100中。栅极驱动器300通过与其耦接的多条扫描线将所提供的扫描信号传输至影像显示区100中。
需要说明的是,本文中涉及到的“像素结构”包括多个像素单元,且各个像素单元被分别配置在由多条数据线和多条扫描线交错形成的每个像素区中,具体如图3所示的例子。在图3中,数据线D(x)和扫描线G1(y)、G2(y)形成了一个像素区,在该像素区中配置了一个像素单元。
图4是关于本发明一实施例的像素单元的等效电路图。请参考图4,该像素单元包括开关元件(T1和T2)、存储电容CST1以及液晶电容CLC。开关元件T1和T2均优选以薄膜晶体管制作而成。
具体如图4所示,开关元件T1连接于数据线Data(x)和一像素电极Vpixel之间,且其控制端(栅极)连接扫描线Gatel(y),存储电容CST1则连接于像素电极Vpixel与一公共电极Com(y)之间,液晶电容CLC连接于像素电极Vpixel与另一公共电极之间。当开关元件T1接收到来自扫描线Gatal(y)的开启信号时,该开关元件T1开启,数据线Data(x)上的数据信号经由开关元件T1传送至存储电容CST1,存储电容CST1则根据数据信号充电而存储至相应的电位,基于此,像素电极Vpixel也具有相对应的电位,该像素单元就依据此显 示影像数据。
然而,以上显示是无法实现低色偏效果的,为了降低成本,并且不影响开口率和穿透率,本实施例提供了一种改进,正如图4所示,该像素设计还包括一开关元件T2,其连接于上述公共电极Com(y)和上述像素电极Vpixel之间,且其控制端连接扫描线Gate2(y)。
需要重点说明的是,相比传统的像素设计,扫描线Gate2(y)传输的信号为一组预先设定的扫描信号,且其大小可调,在本实施例中,该预先设定的扫描信号为一组随着数据信号改变(相对于公共电压)而改变的方波信号。
如图5所示,扫描线Gate2(y)传输的方波信号的占空比与数据线Data(x)传输的方波信号的占空比相同,且数据线Data(x)传输的信号为正向电压信号时,扫描线Gate2(y)传输的信号也为正向电压信号,同理,数据线Data(x)传输的信号为负向电压信号时,扫描线Gate2(y)传输的信号也为负向电压信号。上述这种设置是为了能够使像素电极随着T2的打开而进行缓慢漏电,进而实现同一像素单元在一帧的不同时间呈现不同的亮度,实现低色偏的效果。
优选地,预先设定的扫描信号的大小亦与数据线Data(x)相关。本实施例中,预先设定的扫描信号的正向电压Vgate2+基于公共电压Vcom和规定调整电压X得到,且预先设定的扫描信号的负向电压Vgate2-基于数据信号的负向电压Vdata-和规定调整电压X得到。也就是说,可以通过如下表达式分别得到预先设定的扫描信号的正向电压Vgate2+和负向电压Vgate2-:
(Vgate2+)=Vcom+X
(Vgate2-)=(Vdata-)+X
考虑到实际显示时所需要的亮度,优选地,X的取值范围在(-14V~14V),通过调整X值的大小来调整像素的亮度,最终达到所需要的大视角显示效果。当然,上述仅是一个优选例子,本领域技术人员可以根据实际需要选择规定调整电压X。
在开关元件T2接收来自扫描线Gate2(y)的预先设定的扫描信号时,开关元件T2将临界开启。所谓“临界开启”可以定义为TFT未工作在其饱和电压下的TFT状态,后文也可称为微开启。
在开关元件T2在微开启过程中,使像素电极Vpixel的电位缓慢漏电至公共电极Com(y)的电位(公共电压),换言之,该像素电极Vpixel的电位通过该开关元件T2逐渐减少, 直至与公共电极Com(y)的电位一致,那么,在整个漏电过程中像素电极Vpixel的电位在一帧的不同时间具有不同的电位,也就实现了同一像素在一帧的不同时间呈现不同的亮度,进而实现低色偏的功能。
下面参考图5说明在2D显示时的具体驱动时序情况。然,图5仅为示例而已,并非用以限定本发明,亦即在不脱离本发明的精神和范围内,像素电极Vpixel的电位变化可依据实际需求有所调整。
在进行2D显示时,概述地说是,通过增设的开关元件T2和控制该元件的扫描线Gate2(y)的扫描信号来将像素电极Vpixel的电位拉低,造成该像素电极Vpixel的电位在一帧的不同时间形成一定的差异ΔV,实现较佳的低色偏效果。
具体地,请同时参考图4和图5,在正半周(即极性反转中的正极性反转,数据信号电位大于公共电极COM的电位)期间,当扫描线Gatel(y)传输扫描信号(输出高电平)时,开关元件T1根据扫描信号开启,使数据线Data(x)上的数据信号经由开关元件T1传送至存储电容CST1,存储电容CST1则根据数据信号充电而存储相应的电位,致使像素电极Vpixel据此具有相对应的电位。
接着,由于扫描线Gate2(y)在此期间传送预先设定的扫描信号,开关元件T2根据该扫描信号微开启,通过该开关元件T2像素电极Vpixel的电位被缓慢拉降(漏电),直至像素电极Vpixel的电位与公共电极COM的电位一致,这样,在正半周期内,能够实现同一像素在不同时间具有不同电压。
相反地,于负半周(即极性反转中的负极性反转,数据信号电位小于公共电极COM的电位)期间,当扫描线Gatel(y)传输扫描信号时,开关元件T1根据扫描信号开启,使得数据线Data(x)上的数据信号经由开关元件T1传送至存储电容CST1,存储电容CST1则根据数据信号充电而存储相应的电位,致使像素电极Vpixel据此具有相对应的电位。
接着,由于扫描线Gate2(y)在此期间传送直流扫描信号,开关元件T2根据扫描信号微开启,通过该开关元件T2像素电极Vpixel的电位被逐渐拉升,直至像素电极Vpixel的电位与公共电极COM的电位一致,这样,在负半周期形成同一像素在不同时间具有不同电压。
如此一来,无论在进行正极性反转操作还是负极性反转操作的状态下,同一像素在一帧的不同时间均具有不同的电位,使得所呈现的亮度也不同,因此能够有效地解决在2D显示时显示器具有色偏的问题,实现低色偏功能。
另外,本实施例的像素单元相比现有技术中,没有增加多个TFT或多个电容,致使没有影响开口率和Cell穿透率的大小,进而没有提高背光源的成本。
进一步,本发明的发明人通过实验来验证本发明实施例的效果,具体如图6所示,可以看出像素电极Vpixel的电位呈现缓慢的变化,且达到同一像素在一帧的不同时间呈现不同的电压的效果。
以上所述,仅为本发明较佳的具体实施方式,但本发明的保护范围并不局限于此,任何熟悉该技术的人员在本发明所揭露的技术范围内,可轻易想到的变化或替换,都应涵盖在本发明的保护范围之内。因此,本发明的保护范围应该以权利要求的保护范围为准。

Claims (9)

  1. 一种液晶显示面板,包括:
    多个像素单元,每个像素单元包括:
    一数据线;
    一第一扫描线;
    一第二扫描线,其与所述第一扫描线相邻,配置以发送预先设定的扫描信号;
    一第一开关,其连接于所述数据线和一像素电极之间,配置以接收所述第一扫描线的扫描信号而开启;
    一第二开关,其连接于一像素电极和一公共电极之间,配置以接收所述第二扫描线的预先设定的扫描信号而临界开启;
    一存储电容,其连接于所述像素电极和所述公共电极之间;
    一液晶电容,其一端连接于所述像素电极;
    其中,所述像素电极在第一开关开启时,接收来自所述数据线的数据信号而具有电位,并且在所述第二开关临界开启时,该像素电极的电位通过该第二开关逐渐减少,直至与所述公共电极的电位一致。
  2. 根据权利要求1所述的液晶显示面板,其中,所述第一开关和所述第二开关均包括一栅极、一第一源/漏极以及一第二源/漏极,
    其中,该第一开关的栅极连接所述第一扫描线,该第一开关的第一源/漏极和第二源/漏极分别连接所述数据线和所述像素电极;
    该第二开关的栅极连接所述第二扫描线,该第二开关的第一源/漏极和第二源/漏极分别连接所述像素电极和所述公共电极。
  3. 根据权利要求1所述的液晶显示面板,其中,
    所述预先设定的扫描信号为一组随着所述数据线的数据信号的变化而变化的信号。
  4. 根据权利要求3所述的液晶显示面板,其中,
    所述预先设定的扫描信号的正向电压基于所述公共电压和规定调整电压得到;
    所述预先设定的扫描信号的负向电压基于所述数据信号的负向电压和所述规定调整电压得到。
  5. 根据权利要求4所述的液晶显示面板,其中,
    所述规定调整电压的范围是-14V至14V。
  6. 一种液晶显示面板的驱动方法,所述液晶显示面板包括:多个像素单元,每个像素单元包括:一数据线;一第一扫描线;一第二扫描线,其与所述第一扫描线相邻,配置以发送预先设定的扫描信号;一第一开关,其连接于所述数据线和一像素电极之间,配置以接收所述第一扫描线的扫描信号而开启;一第二开关,其连接于一像素电极和一公共电极之间,配置以接收所述第二扫描线的预先设定的扫描信号而临界开启;一存储电容,其连接于所述像素电极和所述公共电极之间;一液晶电容,其一端连接于所述像素电极,该方法包括:
    在一正/负半周期间,多条扫描线中的一第一扫描线传送一扫描信号使所述第一开关开启,以将所述数据线中的一数据线的一数据信号传送至一像素电极,而使该像素电极具有电位;
    同时,在该正/负半周期间,与所述第一扫描线相邻的第二扫描线传送预先设定的扫描信号使所述第二开关临界开启,并通过该第二开关逐渐拉降/拉升所述像素电极的电位,直至所述像素电极的电位与所述公共电极的电位一致。
  7. 根据权利要求6所述的驱动方法,其中,
    所述预先设定的扫描信号为一组随着所述数据线的数据信号的变化而变化的信号。
  8. 根据权利要求7所述的驱动方法,其中,
    所述预先设定的扫描信号的正向电压基于所述公共电压和规定调整电压得到;
    所述预先设定的扫描信号的负向电压基于所述数据信号的负向电压和所述规定调整电压得到。
  9. 根据权利要求8所述的驱动方法,其中,
    所述规定调整电压的范围是-14V至14V。
