  • the sealing element 33 prepared in this way is then arranged in the section of the second leg 23 of the end piece 18 projecting beyond the end piece 17 and joined thereto, in particular adhesively bonded. This takes place in the region of the first connection surface 52. Then, for example, by exposing, coating and / or activating the second connection surface 53, these can be prepared for the subsequent connection process with the Parapet cover element 13, in particular its underside 15. Once this is done, the end piece 18 is attached by attaching to the provided with the end part 17 front end 14 of Parapetabdeckelements 13, optionally with the formation of an expansion joint 27 between the end part 17 and the base 24 and then connected.
  • the attachment can preferably be effected by a pivoting movement, so as to reach only in the last end of the pivoting operation a conditioning of the second connection surface 53 on the underside 15 of the Parapetabdeckelements 13. If an adhesive layer has already been applied or exposed, the adhesion process takes place on contacting the connection surface 53 with the underside 15.
  • the thickness or thickness of the sealing element 33 is chosen to be at least si large so that this continuous between the bottom 15 of the Parapetabdeckelements 13 and the second leg 23 extends. Be preferred, however, the thickness or thickness is chosen slightly larger, so as to achieve a certain bias. A complete compression is achieved by the at least one support web 35, 36.
  • the damping element 32 may be provided only in the front contact region of the end part 17 between the latter and the base web 24.
  • a spacer element 54 for forming the expansion joint 27 between the end part 17 and the base web 24 in the final part 17 receiving the interior 25 of the End piece 18 are inserted. After the joining process of the second connecting surface 53 with the underside 15, the spacer element 54 can then be removed again.
