- the in-vehicle device 20 determines whether or not the traveling state of the vehicle is traveling (step S34). If the traveling state is traveling, it is further determined whether or not the HDMI 6 is connected. Determination is made (step S35). If the HDMI 6 is being connected (step S35; Yes), the in-vehicle device 20 determines whether or not the image display application is an externally controllable application (step S36).
- the in-vehicle device 20 transmits the running state information and the operation information to the resident application 15 of the smartphone 10 (step S38).
- the externally controllable application executes the travel restriction by itself, so that the in-vehicle device 20 does not need to execute the travel restriction. Therefore, the in-vehicle device 20 does not execute the travel restriction (step S39).
- step S36 when the image display application is an externally uncontrollable application (step S36; No), since the in-vehicle device 20 cannot control the externally-incontrollable app and execute the travel regulation, the in-vehicle device 20 travels by itself.
- the restriction is executed (step S37).
- step S34 If the running state is not running (step S34; No), there is no need to regulate running, and the process proceeds to step S39. If the HDMI 6 is not connected (step S35; No), no matter what kind of application is being displayed, the image is not displayed on the in-vehicle device 20, so that travel regulation is performed. There is no need to perform the process, and the process proceeds to step S39.
- the in-vehicle device 20 runs on its own when the image display application is an externally controllable application. Without executing the regulation, the execution of the travel regulation is left to the externally controllable application.
- the in-vehicle device 20 executes the travel restriction itself. Thereby, even if it is a case where the application which can be controlled externally and the application which cannot be controlled externally are mixed in the smart phone 10, execution of driving
- the attribute of the application acquired from the image display application by the attribute acquisition unit 17 of the smartphone 10 is information indicating whether or not the application can be controlled from the external vehicle-mounted device 20.
- the “application attribute” is information relating to the reliability of the application. That is, the in-vehicle device 20 determines whether to execute the travel restriction or to leave the execution of the travel restriction to the image displaying application according to the reliability of the image displaying application.
- the reliability of the application is determined in advance based on the version of the external control module 12 incorporated in the application 11, and information indicating the reliability is included in the external control module 12.
- the reliability of the application is defined for an externally controllable application and not for an externally uncontrollable application.
- each externally controllable application has either reliability level 1 or 2.
- the high reliability level 1 is, for example, the case where the application creator and the in-vehicle device manufacturer jointly develop or verify the operation.
- the attribute acquisition unit 17 of the smartphone 10 acquires the reliability level of the external control module 12 incorporated in the image display application as an application attribute, and transmits the attribute to the in-vehicle device 20.
- the in-vehicle device 20 determines whether to execute the travel restriction based on the reliability level as the attribute of the application. Specifically, since the image display application in which the external control module 12 having the reliability level 1 is incorporated has high reliability, the in-vehicle device 20 entrusts the application 11 to travel regulation. On the other hand, since the image display application in which the external control module 12 having the reliability level 2 is incorporated has low reliability, the in-vehicle device 20 executes the travel restriction itself. Thereby, about the externally controllable application with low reliability, the vehicle equipment 20 can perform driving
- the process of the externally controllable application is the same as the process of the first embodiment shown in FIG.
- the application process is the same as that of the first embodiment shown in FIG.
- the processing of the in-vehicle device 20 is different from the first embodiment only in step S36 of FIG. As a result, the in-vehicle device 20 entrusts the execution of travel regulation to the image-displaying application.
- step S46 determines whether or not the image display application can be externally controlled and the reliability is level 2 (step S47).
- the in-vehicle device 20 displays an application image from the image-displaying application, but does not transmit user operation information for the in-vehicle device 20 to the image-displaying application (step S51).
- step S47 determines whether or not the image display application is externally controllable and the reliability is level 3 (step S48).
- the in-vehicle device 20 does not display an application image from the image-displaying application, and does not transmit user operation information for the in-vehicle device 20 to the image-displaying application (step S52).
- step S48 If the determination result in step S48 is No, the image display application is an externally uncontrollable application, and therefore the in-vehicle device 20 executes the travel restriction itself (step S49).
- the reliability of an externally controllable application is defined in three stages as application attributes, and different processing is performed depending on the level. Therefore, it is possible to perform appropriate travel regulation.
- the reliability of the application is defined as the reliability of the external control module 12, but instead, the reliability of the application may be the reliability of the application 11 installed in the smartphone 10. In that case, the application 11 possesses information indicating the reliability level.
- the reliability is defined in three stages and different processes are executed. However, the reliability may be defined in four stages or more and different processes may be executed for each level.
- the application attribute is information related to the reliability of the application.

Abstract
Description
車載機20とスマートフォン10とは、2つのインターフェース、具体的には、Bluetooth(登録商標)のSPP(Serial Port Profile)5と、HDMI6とにより接続されている。
