- variable capacitance diode D1 since the amount of change in the combined capacitance when the variable capacitance diode D1 is used is small, the amount of change in reactance is small. Therefore, the variable capacitance diode D1 is effective when performing adjustment with a small resonance frequency (for example, channel change or fine adjustment in the same frequency band). On the other hand, since the amount of change in the combined capacitance when the capacitor C2 is used is large, the amount of change in reactance is large. Therefore, the capacitor C2 is effective when performing a large adjustment of the resonance frequency (for example, adjustment from 800 MHz to 1.5 GHz).

- the adjustment unit 34 may connect a coil instead of the capacitor C2. Thereby, the adjustment part 34 can adjust the reactance in an equivalent circuit by the case where a coil is connected and the case where a coil is not connected by switching switch SW1 and switch SW2.
- the equivalent circuit shown in FIG. 17D is a capacitor C3, a capacitor C4, and a switch as a third selection unit between the capacitor C1 and the variable capacitance diode D1, compared to the equivalent circuit shown in FIG. The difference is that SW3 is electrically connected.
- the capacitor C3 has one end electrically connected in series with the capacitor C1 and the other end electrically connected in series with the variable capacitance diode D1.
- the capacitor C4 is connected in parallel with the capacitor C3.
- the switch SW3 has one end electrically connected between the capacitor C3 and the variable capacitance diode D1, and the other end electrically connected to the variable capacitance diode D1 side of the capacitor C4.
- the switch SW3 switches to either the ON state or the OFF state according to control of a control unit (not shown).
- the switch SW3 is switched to the ON state, the capacitor C3 and the capacitor C4 are electrically connected in parallel. That is, in the adjustment unit 34, the capacitor C3 and the capacitor C4 are connected in parallel, and the capacitor C1 and the capacitors C3 and C4 are connected in series.
- the adjustment unit 34 can change the reactance in the equivalent circuit by the combined capacitance of the capacitor C1, the capacitor C3, the capacitor C4, and the variable capacitance diode D1 and the coil L1.
- the capacitor C4 is not electrically connected to the capacitor C3. That is, in the adjustment unit 34, the capacitor C1 and the capacitor C3 are connected in series. In this case, the adjustment unit 34 can change the reactance in the equivalent circuit by the combined capacitance of the capacitor C1, the capacitor C3, and the variable capacitance diode D1 and the coil L1.
- the adjustment unit 34 adjusts the reactance in the equivalent circuit by switching the switch SW3 to either the ON state or the OFF state, and more suitably adjusts the resonance frequency of the antenna. Can do.
- the cellular phone 1 of the fifth embodiment functions as a dipole antenna in the open state and as an inverted F antenna in the closed state. That is, in the mobile phone 1, the first conductive portion 31 and the second conductive portion 33 function as an inverted F antenna only in the closed state. Therefore, the mobile phone 1 can easily cope with the multiband by adjusting the reactance by the adjusting unit 34 and adjusting the resonance frequency.
- the adjustment unit 34 has shown the configurations of FIGS. 17A to 17D as the configuration for adjusting the reactance, but the present invention is not limited to this, and any configuration that can adjust the reactance is possible. Other than the circuit configurations shown in FIGS. 17A to 17D.
- the mobile phone 1 has been described.
- the present invention is not limited to the mobile phone. It can be applied to any mobile terminal.
