Abstract

 PDP装置に係わり、新しい方式を提案し、階調表示性能及びパネル駆動特性の向上と、更に電源系の性能向上等と、を実現する技術である。本PDP装置では、第1電極(Y)及び第2電極(X)の駆動回路(Dy,Dx)を、維持駆動用電圧パルス出力機能付きのドライバICによる、奇偶の電極に対応した分離配置構成として、アドレス駆動とサステイン駆動とを同時並行的に実行するものである。また、第2電極(X)側の駆動回路については外付けの回路が不要となり、さらに同一のドライバICのみの構成とすることで、ドライバIC出力配線のパネルへの接続構成を簡単化できる。
