Abstract

 本発明による、電源から負荷へ電力を供給するために用いられる電線の保護方法では、負荷への通電電流I(n)が所定時間Δt毎に検出される。電線の上昇温度ΔTw(n)が、検出された通電電流I(n)を用いて、電線の放熱および発熱に係る関係式によって算出される。算出された上昇温度ΔTw(n)が基準温度に加算されて電線の温度が推定される。推定電線温度が所定の上限温度未満の場合は、上昇温度ΔTw(n)の算出が繰り返され、推定電線温度が所定の上限温度以上となった場合、電源から負荷への電力の供給を停止され、電線が保護される。
