Abstract

 製膜されたポリエステルフィルム18の表裏面のうちの一方面を輻射加熱方式の加熱装置30で加熱しながら縦延伸する際に、輻射される電磁波は、ポリエステルフィルム18の一方面に輻射される熱エネルギー全体のうち20%以上50%以下の熱エネルギーが一方面から他方面へ透過するような波長帯で構成される。これにより、縦延伸工程においてフィルムの一方面を加熱しながら縦延伸する場合であっても、フィルムにカールが発生しにくくなる。
