Abstract

 フレーム単位の連続した画像と、画像フレーム(100)ごとのシンタックス要素とを用いて動画を表示させる画像処理装置において、フレームを分割するマクロブロックの中から、シンタックス要素に含まれている動きベクトルを参照して、隣接する所定数以上のブロックと同一の動きベクトルが設定されているマクロブロック(501)を抽出する抽出部と、抽出したマクロブロック(501)のシンタックス要素に含まれている情報に応じて、前記ブロックに設定されている動きベクトルの信頼性を判断する判断部と、動きベクトルの信頼性が高いと判断されたマクロブロック(501)を注目ブロックとし、このマクロブロック(501)に設定されている動きベクトルを補間フレーム生成用の動きベクトルに採用する採用部とを備えることを特徴とする。
