Abstract

 複数の連続したフレームが含まれる動画データと、フレームに対応し、かつ、当該フレームよりも高い空間解像度を有する一又は複数の画像データとを取得する取得部と、動画データを用いてフレーム間の動きベクトルを検出する動き予測部と、画像データと動きベクトルとに基づいて、所定のフレームに対応する動き補償された画像データを生成する画像生成部と、を備える画像処理装置が提供される。また、画像生成部は、所定のフレームと画像データに対応するフレームとの間に位置し、かつ、フレームに対応する動き補償された画像データを生成し、その動き補償された画像データと動きベクトルとに基づいて、所定のフレームに対応する動き補償された画像データを生成する。
