Abstract

 テーパスプラインを不要とし、スプライン嵌合部の周方向ガタをなくし、異音の防止を図り、小型軽量で低コストかつ信頼性の高い駆動車輪用軸受装置を提供する。  駆動車輪用軸受装置は、内周に複列の外側軌道面13,14が形成された外輪5と、外周に外側軌道面13,14と対向する複列の内側軌道面7,8を有し、ハブ輪1および内輪2と、外輪5の外側軌道面13,14とハブ輪1および内輪2の内側軌道面7,8との間に介装された複列の転動体3,4とを備える。ハブ輪1の軸孔28を円筒形状とし、かつ、外側継手部材15のステム部27の外径に雄スプライン26を形成して、ハブ輪1の軸孔28に外側継手部材15のステム部27を圧入する。これにより、ハブ輪1の軸孔28に雄スプライン26と締め代を持って密着嵌合する凹部を形成してハブ輪1と外側継手部材15とを分離可能に結合させる。
