De plus une troisième plaque rigide est prévue pour recouvrir intérieurement toute la surface du fond du sac , laquelle troisième plaque étant équipée de moyens permettant sa fixation amovible à la première et à la seconde plaques. Lors du repliement du sac , l'utilisateur retire la troisième plaque et fait pivoter la seconde plaque par rapport à la première pour obtenir l'encombrement minimal. L'inconvénient de ce mode de réalisation est qu'il nécessite la mise en œuvre d'une troisième plaque, sachant que la perte de celle-ci rend le sac quasiment inutilisable. Dans le document US.6.605.617, l'inconvénient précité n'existe plus puisqu'il est proposé qu'une partie du fond soit occupée par une première plaque rigide qui est articulée à une seconde plaque rigide qui est elle-même fixée à la pièce de l'armature du sac sur laquelle sont montées les deux tiges de la poignée télescopique de transport. En position d'utilisation , la première plaque rigide est bloquée sur la paroi textile du fond du sac par un rabat équipé d'éléments auto agrippants du type à crochets et à boucles.
