13e it known that I, FREDERICK SNOW Bos- WURTH, ot the citv and countav otl Providence, State ot' Rhode Island, have invented a neur Design for Fancy Oassiniere Fabrics, and I dohereby declare that the following,` specitication, taken in connection with the drawings making a part ot' the saine, is a t'ull, clear, and exact description thereof.

The optical effect ot'` my novel design will be apparent on an inspection ot' the accoinpa nylug drawings, to which reference is made. Said effect; is produced by means ot' a plain woven ground, ornainented by stripes, which are ot' a peculiar composite character, and also by plain stripes, as hereafter more fullv described.

Referring;` to the drawings, the stripesA are composed of a series ot' elongated crosses, a, in alternation with a` series of transverse bars,
