DESIGN FOR A CARPET.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,274, dated November 4, 1890. Application filed October 10, 1890- Serial Ko.367,647- Term of patent 3% years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, WALTER THOMAS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Yonkers, Westchester county, New York,have invented a newand original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a specification, reference beiug had to the accompanying photograph, which forms a part of the same.

The invention relates to a design to be worked into or upon surfaces, such as carpets or similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel configuration and grouping of figures herein specifically shown and claimed.

The accompanying photograph is a face view of a carpet showing my new design.

My design consists of the body A and the border B. The body A is composed of a large group of various conventionalized leaf and flower forms. The border B is composed of WALTER THOMAS.
