NURSING 'Bo'.r'rLn HOLDER Application led December 24,1929, Serial No. 416,236. f
' This invention relates to an improved device for holding a nursing bottle, andits objects are to provide elements capable offholding a nursing bottle in a position whereby v an infant'may readily and Vconveniently consume the contents of the bottle :Wthout atp-'14 tention by anolder person'- Heretofore, nursing bottles vhave been ypro-fk vided with a nipple on'the end of a long rubber tube leading from the bottle.'The long rubber tube has proven unsanitary and more or less inconvenient in use. Y Y
To avoid these objections, I have provided an efficient holder for the nur-sing bottle, having several means of adjustment whereby the bottle may be setand retained in any de'- sired position and in convenient reach of an infant while in a carriage, or on avbedfcot, or other similar device..
The drawings, illustrate an embodiment of the invention which I yhave so far found to ybevthe most practical in use, andin' which-y Figure 1 is a perspective view of the holder having a bottle therein.Y Fig. ,2' isa detail1 vieW of the .upper clamp member. Fig. 3 is a detail view of thev upper, adjusting element.r Fig. 4 is a vperspective view of thel bottle clamp. Fig. 5 is a detail view yof a clamp for securing the device to a bed, cot, or carriage.; Fig. 6 is a detail planfofthe belt relement.`-
, Fig. 7` is a side elevationvof the clamp for securing the device to a'bed,cot, or carriage. Referring in detailk to the drawings,y the holder consists of a spring wire bail 11,l y having on each extremity the clampmembers 12, adapted to rest upon or engage with a bed, cot, baby carriage, or other similar device.- Clamp members 12, are pivotally mounted on pivot pins 13, on the extremities 40 of bail 11. VA cloth fabric belt 14 is secured to the extremities of bail 11, and is adapted to pass beneath the infant when the device is in use. A` clamp member 15 is slidable on bail 11, and has a clamping screw ,16,.1
whereby it may be clamped in any desired position. Theupper suspending member 17 l n is slidable through the clamp member 15, and is secured in position by a screwV 18. Member -17 is formed with a' loop portion 19, and the bottleclamp'QO is' slidable on-the loop portion, and is secured in positionV by a screw l`21., Bottle-clamp 20has a loop -portion v22v to engage with the neck portion of a nursing bottlej23,fand hasta loop portion 24 to pass around the Vbody portion of the bottle. An-
yIn use, the device is positioned upon a babyY carriage, bed, cot, or similar device, and the" .belt is passed beneath the infant. wA nursing rbottlefis then positioned in the bottle clamp, and the device is then adjusted whereby the bottle will be ywithin convenient reach ofthe infant. Each lclamping screw may ybe loos ened for a sliding adjustment, or swivel adjustment, or angular adjustment of the corresponding part ofthe device. The bottle.,v clampis adapted for suspension of any ordi- "nary style of nursing bottle. .Y D `i 1 l From the foregoing description and the drawings, itA may be seen that I have provided a nursing bottle holder, having a practically universal adjustment for securing: andy maintaining a nursing bottle in any desired S; position relative to an .infant'which is tobe Y fed from the bottle. f l
What is claimed is: Y
y1. yA nursing bottle holder, comprising a v l bail member, a cloth fabric belt extending between the extremities of the bail member, clamp elements on theV extremities of the bail` membera suspending member adjustably selcured tol the bail member, and a nursing bottle clamp adjustably secured to the suspending member. j y
2. VA nursing bottle holder, comprisin a bail member, a clothfabric beltextendlng between the extremities-of the bail member, a clamp member slidable on the bail member, l
rvu.
means for clamping said clamp member in position on the bail member, a. suspending member mounted in said clamp member, and
:L nursing bottle clamp adjustably secured to the suspending member.
3. A nursing bottle holder, comprising a bail member, a fabric belt secured to the eX- tremities o the bail member, suspending elements adjustably secured to the bail mem- `10 ber and between the extremities thereof, and
a nursing bottle holder adjustably secured to the, suspendingv elements;
ln testimony whereof, hereuntoV affix my signature.
