To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, PHILIP CARDARELLA, a citizen of the United States, residing at KansasGity, in the county of Jackson and State of Missouri, have invented a certain new and useful Improvement in Nursing- Bottle Holders, of which the following is a specification.

My invention relates to improvements on nursing bottle holders. a

One of the objects of my invention is to provi:le a novel holder for a' nursing bottle adapted to be easily and quickly attached to a crib or similar article and by which the bottle will be retained within easy reach of an infant in the crib, which ischeap to make, not'liable to get out of order, which is adapted to be fitted to different sized bottles, and which will hold the bottle in a position in which the nipple will be of easy access to the infant.

My invention provides further a novel bottle container which is adapted to be fitted, to nursin bottles of different sizes, and which may %e immediately and quickly attached thereto or detached therefrom.

The novel features of my invention are hereinafter fully described and claimed.

A band 3, preferably elastic, is attached at one end to one side of the belt 1 and is adapted to embrace the lower end of the body 2, the other end of the band being provided with a loop 4. Engaging slidablythe loop 4 is a hook plate 5 having a hook 6 adapted to releasably engage a link 7 mounted on a strap 8, preferably elastic, one end of which, is attached to the belt 1, at the side thereof which is diametrically opposite to the side of the the band 3. The other end of the strap 8 is provided with a loop 9, to which is slidably attached a hook vplate 10, having a-hook 11, adapted to releasably engage a rubber 'band' 12,

i In order that the band 3 may be changed in length to fit different sized bottles, a

coupling plate 14' having a depressed bridge 15 is provided. The band 3 is extended through the plate 14 over the bridge 15, then 'is formed into theloopA the adjacent end of1the band 3 being inserfidthrough the plate 14 between the bridge 15 and the adjacent portion of the band.

The elastic strap 8 and the rubber band 12 form elastic means connecting the belt 1 with the neck of the bottle, thus holding the belt from movement in one direction on the bottle, theband 3 serving tohold the belt from movement in the opposite direction.

The strap 8 is made extensible to fit different sized bottles by means of a coupling plate 16 having a depressed bridge 17. The strap 8 is inserted through the plate 16 over the bridge 17 then formed into the loop 9, and the adjacent end being then inserted between the bridge 17 and the adjacent portion of the strap.

For supporting the bottle container, comprising the parts just described, upon the side bars 18 of a crib 19, I provide a suitable sup orting member consisting of a strap 20, pre erably elastic, and which is extended through the loop 4, which is slidable longitudinally along the supporting member 20. One end of the latter is attached to a hook plate 21, provided with a hook 22, which is adapted to releasably engage a link 23, mounted on the member 20. The other end portion of the member 20 is inserted through a coupling plate 24, similar to the plate 14, and then is formed into a loop 25,

In mounting the bottle in the bottle con- 4 tainer, the belt 1 is slipped over the body 2 of the bottle. A rubber ring 12 is fitted on the neck 13, after which the hook 11 is hooked to the ring 12. The band 3 is then passed around the lower endof the bottle and the hook 6 is engaged with the link 7.

The end portions of the member 20 are then looped around the side bars 18 of the crib and thehooks 22 and 27 are then respectively attached to the links 23 and 28, whereby the supporting member 20 will then support the bottle by means of the container in a position slightly inclined from the horizontal. By disposing the supporting member 20 in the proper position on the crib, an infant in the crib will have easy access to the nipple of the bottle. The supporting member 20 being extensible and elastic can be adjusted to suit cribs of different widths. By having the bottle container longitudinally slidable on the supporting member 20, the bottle can be readily adjusted laterally to conform to the position of the infant in the crib.

By having the supporting member 20 elastic, it will automatically lift the bottle away from the infant when the latter lets go of the nipple.

I do not limit my invention to the structure shown and described, as many modifications, within the scope of the appended claim, may be made without departing from the spirit of my invention.

What I claim is In a bottle holder of the kind described, a supporting member having means adapted to be attached to the sides of a crib or similar article, and a bottle container comprising an elastic belt adapted to embrace the body of a bottle, an elastic band attached at one end to one side of said belt and adapted to embrace the lower end of the bottle and having at its other end a loop through which said supporting member extends and is slidable, a hook attached to said loop, elastic means attachcdto the other side of said belt having means adapted for releasable engagement with the neck of the bottle, and a link on said elastic means adapted for re-
