It consists of an elliptical or rectangular frame provided with two swinging levers, having hearings in depending ears of the frame. WILLIAM LESER, OF CINCINNATI, OHIO.
IMPROVEMENT IN BUCKLES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 177,133, dated May 9, 1876; application filed March 8, 1876.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM LESER, of Cincinnati, in the county of Hamilton and State of Ohio, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Buckles; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, that will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and the letters and figures of reference marked thereon, which form a partof this lhe same letters and figures of reference are used to -indicate the corresponding parts.
After describing the invention, its nature and extent will be shown in the claim.
The object of my invention is to furnish a buckle which can easily be placed on garments without sewing, andcan be quickly and easily removed when the garments are washed. It consists of an elliptical or rectangular frame provided with two swinging levers, having hearings in depending ears of the frame. Each of these two levers has two projecting points, of the usual make and style, which pierce and hold the cloth, and the rear lever has, in addition, a cam bearing against the frame of the buckle.

Having now described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
In a buclrle,-the frame A, provided with two swinging levers, each lever beingprovided with two points, and the rear lever being further provided with a cam bearing on the frame, substantially as described, and for the purposes set forth.
