Ferros ya da ferrik demir, fosfat ve amonyumun kaynaklarindan hazirlanan bir inorganik bilesigin takviye edici bir miktarini içeren bir takviye edilmis gida maddesi. Bu bilesikler, gida maddesinin organoleptik özelliklerine zararli sekilde etki etmeyen ve özellikle polifenolleri ihtiva eden ürünler (kakao, çay vs.) ya da bir yüksek yag muhtevasina sahip olan ürünler için yararli olan bir demir takviye sistemini temin etmektedir.
