Abstract

A support structure for a crosshead slide bearing of a reciprocating engine, comprising a frame (1) having a pair of vertical inner walls (4) each supported at at least one point across their width by a web structure (6) of the frame, and strengthening walls (14) extending over substantially the whole height of the slide bearing between the outer edges (15) of the vertical inner walls (4) and the web structure (6).
