Abstract

The drive for a powered turntable faceplate for sorting or assembly transmits vibration to the output shaft, using a vibrator with axial and torsional movement components. A workpiece bowl is rigidly coupled to the drive output, coaxial to the output shaft. The shaft has radial blades (11) immersed in the pieces forming the work charge and with pressure-reducing holes (12) larger than a single charge item, which can be e.g. a nut or screw. The faceplate (13) is revolved by the converter and consists of two parts (18,19), with the bowl (5) below the centre part and a rim which contacts the centre over a ring supporting surface (20). The table has two cylindrical permanent magnets (29,30), coaxial and with their opposite poles facing each other, rigidly mounted on the centre part (18) of the faceplate. An additional bowl is pref. installed and rigidly connected to the drive output and mounted below the rim part of the faceplate (19) together with radial blades, as in the main bowl.
