Abstract

The present invention relates to a device for the change-over, for example raising or lowering, of heald frames in a weaving machine, for the change-over of warp threads and for the formation of a shed, a cylinder/piston unit being provided for each heald frame. The object on which the present invention is based is to eliminate or at least avoid the disadvantages of known devices and systems for the change-over of heald frames in a weaving machine. In the devices indicated in the introduction, the object of the present invention is achieved in that the piston in the cylinder/piston unit is connected to the heald frame for the purpose of the positive raising and lowering of the latter, and in that the piston can be changed over from one end position, in which the heald frame is raised, into an opposite end position, in which the heald frame is lowered, in order to form an open shed, and into a central position between the said end positions, in order to form a closed shed.
