[Also in Division D1] To enable the operator to visually adjust the angularity of the weft yarns with respect to the warp yarns of a filter fabric to vary its drainage rate or to clear it of, e.g. fines of a papermakers felt guide lines 17, 18 are applied to the fabric. The line 18 is at the same angularity as the weft and may be woven in and the line line 17 is applied to the fabric at an angle to the line 18 which it may intersect. The lines may be of different colours.
