Abstract
950,981. Warp drawing-in machines. H.F.J. WAREHAM. Aug. 31,1962 July 5,1961], No. 439/61. Heading D1M. Healds are threaded on control rods 22,22a, 22b,22c by means of special apertures above the eyes so that a rotation of 180 degrees by any one of these rods, as they are moved axially, will release a heald on the respective heald frame; the rotation being achieved by pinions 28 and racks 31 mounted on a bar 26 controlled by cams 32, 33. The released heald 40 is then turned through 90 degrees by the rotation of an alignment rod 34 with a flat end portion 35 (Fig. 8). This aligns the eye of the heald with the appropriate reed dent so that a threading hook may reciprocate through both and so draw in the warp. As the above process is being carried out the control rods, the alignment rods, and the threading hook are all moved across the loom on rails.
