Known composite materials for the manufacture of sliding bearings, mechanical seals and other elements of friction units based on polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and inorganic fillers of various chemical nature (Istomin NP, Semenov AP Antifriction properties of composite materials based on fluoroplasts. - M. : Science, 1987 .-- 147 p.). Materials are known as self-lubricating antifriction with a low coefficient of friction, but they have low deformation-strength characteristics, which reduces the resource of their work.
To increase the structural activity and improve the adhesive interaction at the polymer-filler interface, serpentinite was first subjected to mechanical activation in a planetary mill, for example, the AGO-2 type, for 2 min, then mixed with magnesium spinel. Pretreatment of serpentinite in a planetary mill leads to mechanical activation, increasing its structural activity and averaging the dispersed composition. The combination of PTFE with a mixture of magnesium spinel and mechanically activated serpentinite was carried out in a paddle mixer at a speed of 3000 rpm: placing the calculated mass of the components in a high-speed mixer was mixed until a homogeneous mass was obtained. Then, preforms of the required shape were made from the composition using the cold pressing technology, followed by free sintering at a temperature of 375-380 ° C. In this case, the exposure time is determined from the calculation of 0.3 h per 10 -3 m of sample thickness. The resulting products were cooled in an oven to 200 ° C at a rate of 0.03 ° C / s, followed by free cooling to room temperature. Sintered bodies were cooled directly in the furnace.
The introduction of a mixture of magnesium spinel with mechanically activated serpentinite in PTFE in the above ratios made it possible to obtain composite materials with increased deformation and strength characteristics and wear resistance, including during operation under high loads.
Example. The filler serpentinite was activated in a planetary mill for 2 minutes, then 1.0 g of mechanically activated serpentinite was mixed with 1.0 g of magnesium spinel. The resulting homogeneous mixture of fillers was mixed with 98.0 g of PTFE in a paddle mixer until a homogeneous mass was obtained. Next, the composition was placed in the mold and extruded products at a specific pressure of 50 MPa. Sintering of products was carried out at a temperature of 375-380 ° C (the exposure time is determined from the calculation of 0.3 h per 10 -3 m of sample thickness). The resulting products were cooled in an oven to 200 ° C at a rate of 0.03%, followed by free cooling to room temperature. Sintered bodies were cooled directly in the furnace.
