En forbedret urea-gjenvinningsprosess beskrives. I den :forbedrete prosess erstattes flere vakuumklassifiserte over- 'flatekondensatorer som anvendes for kondensering av vanndamp 'som utvikles under urea-vakuutnfordampings-konsentrasjon, av en direkte-kontakt kjøle-/absorberingsenhet for å oppnå vesentli- ge kapital- og utstyrskostnadsbesparelser. Forbedret varmeut- vekslings-effektivitet ved foreliggende prosess minsker i vesentlig grad kjølevann-forbruk sammenlignet med overflate- kondensatorer .
