Abstract
Se presenta un proceso mejorado para la recuperacion de urea. En el proceso mejorado se reemplazan multiples condensadores al vacío de superficie nominal, utilizados para condensar el vapor de agua desprendiendo durante la evaporacion/concentracion al vacío de urea, por un enfriador/absorbedor por contacto directo para obtener substanciales ahorros de capital y costos de utilidad. La eficiencia mejorada del intercambio térmico del actual proceso reduce significativamente el uso de agua de enfriamiento en comparacion con los condensadores de superficie.
