Abstract

Et dobbeltvegget komposittrør omfatter en gjennomtrengelig, ringformet oppbygning som holder fra hverandre ugjennomtrengelige indre og ytre vegger. Den gjennomtrengelige, ringformede opp- bygning har mikrosprekker som virker til å minske strømningshastigheten og trykket fra fluid som lekker gjennom innerveggen og således hindrer lekkasje av fluid. Inner- og ytterveggen vil forbli permanent ugjennomtrengelig, mens rørets ringformede oppbygning gjennomgår di- mensjonale forandringer på grunn av spenninger. En koplingssammenstilling kopler mekanisk sammen hvert langs- gående, nærliggende par med rør og om- fatter to halvsylindriske, halve kop- linger, en sammentrykkbar tetningsring, en sylindrisk holdehylse og et fleksi- belt deksel som omslutter og tetter de sammensatte halve koplinger. En føler for påvisning av lekkasje kan plasseres ved koplingssammenstillingen. En fore- trukket fremgangsmåte og utstyr for fremstilling av røret og koplingssammen- stillingen er også beskrevet.
