Abstract

The dry shaver has one or more caps with hair inlet openings and a driven cutter, the cap being detachably mounted in the opening of a holder by means of a closing plate. The plate (6) has clamping brakets (7) to secure the cap in place (3), typically lips integral with the plate. Alternatively the lips can be formed on a plastic insert clamped in the opening of the plate for the cap, and with a hole (11) for the cutter drive spindle, also a lug engaging in a recess at the side of the cap opening. The design allows easily dismantling of components one by one for cleaning, with less risk of loss damage.
