Abstract

The hand held machine tool has a casing containing its drive (eg an electromotor or a pneumatic drive). The casing has an opening (11) to hold tools (22, 23) or other accessories (21). The hole is closed by a cover (12) on the outside and by a box on the inside - ie it is not connected to the inside of the casing. The cover is held in place by projections (13) which locate in recesses in the edge of the opening and a sliding snap-closing lock having a moving projection (14) which locates in a recess in the opposite edge of the opening. The cover may be made of transparent plastic. The opening (11) is equipped with rubber band holders to secure the components. The cover plate (12) is made of transparent plastics.
