Abstract
Se expone un método y aparato para implementar un vocoder en un circuito integrado específico de aplicacion (ASIC). El aparato contiene un nucleo de DSP que realiza computaciones conforme a una arquitectura de conjunto reducido de instrucciones (RSIC). El circuito además comprende un procesador esclavo específicamente diseñado para el nucleo del DSP indicado, al cual se hace referencia como procesador de minimizacion. El aparato comprende además un sistema de circuitos de normalizacion de bloques específicamente diseñado.
