Abstract

Se emplea un expansor de turbina de dos fases de un solo fluido en un sistema de refrigeracion por compresion-expansion. El expansor de turbina tiene su rotor acoplado mecánicamente al tren de impulsion del compresor de refrigeracion asociado, que puede ser un compresor centrífugo de alta velocidad a un compresor helicoidal con engranajes; la turbina es de un diseño recto hacia adelante, con un disco de rotor que presenta alabes periféricos, y un bloque de toberas que aloja al disco y contiene un grupo de toberas apuntadas hacia los alabes. Cada una de las toberas tiene una placa de orificio de entrada y una geometría interna convergente/divergente que permite una descarga supersonica; los alabes están perfilados para una reaccion de impulso y tiene un doblado de salida agudo o cortante para impedir mayor derrame o escurrimiento de la mezcla de dos fases en el rotor.
