Abstract

La invención se refiere a un molde para plegar vidrio, que comprende un material sólido celular del cual las celdas forman cavidades en la superficie de moldeo, las celdas representan más del 40% del volumen del material. El molde es una herramienta de baja capacidad calorífica para plegar paneles de vidrio, para utilizarse en la producción de vidrio templado o laminado. La invención también se refiere a un método para producir el molde de plegado, que comprende: el ensamble de placas de metal de diferentes formas dispuestas en paralelo entre sí, para formar un bloque celular; y el maquinado posterior de la superficie de moldeo del bloque, la superficie se extiende sustancialmente perpendicular a las placas de metal.
