Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para la producción de aglomerado de finos de mineral de hierro, resistente a la manipulación, al transporte y al contacto con el agua. El proceso consiste en mezclar finos de mineral de hierro con silicato sódico, nanomateriales, catalizador, fundentes y plastificante; ajustar la humedad de la mezcla; aglomerar la mezcla mediante peletización, briqueteado o extrusión; realizar el curado a temperatura ambiente. El proceso no requiere aporte de energía para el tratamiento térmico y permite obtener un producto aglomerado con altas prestaciones físicas y metalúrgicas para sustituir la carga metálica, incluido el sinterizado, en los hornos de reducción, sin la emisión de gases nocivos como CO2, dioxinas, furanos y SOx.
