Abstract

La invención se refiere al uso de bajos niveles de aminas primarias y secundarias alifáticas para controlar la formación de huecos de aire en cualquier reacción de polimerización que tenga grupos carbonilo, y especialmente monómeros que contengan grupo éster de ácido carboxílico en un nivel de al menos 10% de monómero total, donde el monómero tiene una temperatura de reacción exotérmica de polimerización pico de mayor que el punto de ebullición del monómero. Las aminas primarias o secundarias se usan en la mezcla de polimerización en niveles de 100 a 5000 ppm, basado en el monómero que contiene grupo éster de ácido carboxílico. Se cree que las aminas primarias y secundarias de hidrógeno se unen con el monómero que contiene -C=O)O- para incrementar el punto de ebullición del monómero, y disminuir o aún eliminar la formación de huecos de aire debido a la ebullición del monómero. La invención es especialmente útil en la polimerización de polímeros y copolímeros de metacrilato, ya sea puros o como un sistema compuesto de polímero.
