Abstract
L'invention concerne une bande d'acier laminée à chaud produite au moyen d'étapes consistant à : assembler une machine à couler à deux cylindres; former un bassin de coulée d'acier fondu d'une composition telle que la bande coulée produite comprend en poids : plus de 0,25% à 1% de carbone, entre 0,40 et 2,0% de manganèse, entre 0,05 et 0,50% de silicium, et moins de 0,01% d'aluminium; soumettre à une rotation inverse les cylindres de coulée pour solidifier des coques métalliques et former une bande d'acier; laminer à chaud la bande d'acier de sorte que les propriétés mécaniques à 10% et à 35% de réduction sont comprises dans les 10% d'une limite d'élasticité, d'une résistance à la traction et d'un allongement total; et refroidir la bande d'acier laminée à une température comprise entre 550 et 750°C pour obtenir une microstructure comprenant essentiellement une perlite ainsi qu'une bainite et une ferrite aciculaire. L'acier peut posséder une teneur en oxygène comprise entre 5 et 50 ppm ou entre 25 et 45 ppm.
