Claims (5)

  1. 휴대용 베이스 유니트와 고정 도킹 유니트를 구비하며, 상기 베이스 유니트는 스탠드-얼로운 상태 또는 상기 도킹 유니트에 연결되여 동작 가능하며, 상기 베이스 유니트는 CPU, 상기 시스템의 키이 초기 구성 데이타를 포함하는 비-휘발성 메모리, 전원 투입될때 시스템을 초기화 시키는 부트 프로그램을 포함하는 메모리, 외부디바이스를 상기 베이스 유니트에 직접 부착시킬 수 있는 접속기, 상기 CPU와 상기 접속기 사이에서 통신을 제어할 수 있는 어드레스 가능한 내부 제어 디바이스를 포함하고, 상기 베이스와 도킹 유니트가 접속될때, 상기 버스는 상기 도킹 유니트에서 회로 디바이스에서 확장되거나 접속되는 도커블 휴대용 컴퓨터 시스템에 있어서, 상기 베이스 유니트에서, 상기 내부 통신 제어 디바이스를 자동적으로 디세이블시키며 상기 도킹 유니트의 특정 어드레스 가능한 디바이스에 적용 가능하도록 상기 버스에 신호를 제공하기 위하여 상기 베이스 유니트에 전원 투입될때마다 시스템 사용자의 조정없이 자동적으로 동작하는 제1수단과, 상기 베이스 유니트에서, 상기 제1수단이 상기 도킹 유니트의 어드레스 가능한 디바이스에 연결된 특정 어드레스에 관하여 판독 동작을 수행하도록 동작한후 동작하는 제2수단과, 상기 베이스 유니트에서 상기 제2수단에 의해 수신된 정보로 부터 상기 프로그램가능한 최초의포트 할당을 갖은 내부 디바이스가 상기 버스 및 상기 도킹 유니트를 통해 상기 베이스 유니트 버스에 접속되는지 어떤지를 결정하는 평가 수단과, 상기 버스 및 도킹 유니트를 통해 상기 베이스 유니트에 접속되는 임의의 외부 디바이스에 충돌 없이 접속 포트 할당을 갖은 상기 베이스 유니트에서 임의의 내부 통신 디바이스를 선택적으로 인에이블링 시키도록 상기 평가 수단에 의해 제공된 정보에 응답하여 동작하는 인에이블링 수단을 구비하는 도커블 휴대용 컴퓨터 시스템.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 베이스 유니트는 상기 베이스 유니트가 상기 도킹 유니트로 부터 분리되는 동안 다수의 다른 형태의 디바이스가 다수의 접속기에 직접 부착 가능한 하우징 지지부와, 상기 인에이블링 수단으로 부터 신호에 응답하여 상기 버스와 각각의 접속기 사이에 통신 경로를 제공하는 내부 제어회로를 구비하는 도커블 휴대용 컴퓨터 시스템.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 베이스 유니트 하우징에 지지된 상기 접속기는 최소한 하나의 RS232접속기 및 최소한 하나의 텔리폰 잭 접속기를 구비하며, 상기 내부 제어 회로는 상기 텔리폰 잭 접속기에 연결하는 모뎀을 구비하는 도커블 휴대용 컴퓨터 시스템.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 베이스 및 도킹 유니트가 연결될때, 상기 베이스 유니트 텔리폰 잭 접속기는 방해되지 않도록 상기 베이스 유니트 하우징 상에 위치되며, 상기 도킹 유니트 및 모뎀에 할당된 통신포트가 충돌하지 않는다면 상기 베이스 및 도킹 유니트가 상호 부착되는 동안 상기 내부 모뎀은 상기 텔리폰 잭 접속기에 접속된 외부회로망에 능동적으로 작용하는 도커블 휴대용 컴퓨터 시스템.
  5. 휴대용 베이스 유니트와 고정 도킹 유니트를 구비하며, 상기 베이스 유니트는 스탠드-얼로운 상태 또는 상기 도킹 유니트에 연결되여 동작 가능하며, 상기 베이스 유니트는 CPU, 상기 시스템의 키이 초기 구성 데이타를 포함하는 비-휘발성 메모리, 전원 투입될때 시스템을 초기화시키는 부트 프로그램을 포함하는 메모리, 외부 디바이스를 상기 베이스 유니트에 직접 부착시키는 접속기, 상기 CPU와 상기 접속기 사이에서 통신을 제어할수 있는 어드레스 가능한 내부 제어 디바이스를 포함하고, 상기 베이스와 도킹 유니트가 접속될때, 상기 버스는 상기 도킹 유니트에서 회로 비다이스에서 확장되거나 접속되는 도커블 휴대용 컴퓨터 시스템에서 통신 포드 할당을 자동으로 구성하는 방법에 있어서, 상기 시스템의 각 활동 동안, 상기 내부 디바이스를 디세이블시키는 단계와, 상기 내부 디바이스가 디세이블될때, 상기 도킹 유니트에 할당된 특정 외부I/ 어드레스에서 상기 키이 구성데이타를 기록하는 단계와, 상기 내부 디바이스가 아직까지 디세이블 상태일때 상기 외부 I/D 어드레스에 관하여 판독 동작을 수행하는 단계와, 상기 판독 동작에 의하여 어느 내부 디바이스가 일치하는 통신 포트 할당을 갖는지를 결정하는 단계와, 상기 결정 단계를 기초로 하여, 일치하는 통신 포트할당을 갖은 내부 디바이스만 선택적으로 활성화 시키는 단계를 구비한는 통신 포트 할당 자동 방법.
