Abstract
Description
A method for producing anodized aluminum is disclosed. More specifically, a method for producing anodized aluminum, which can grow high quality anodized aluminum relatively rapidly by using hybrid anodization in two steps, is disclosed.
Anodized aluminum oxide (AAO) is an aluminum oxide in which a number of fine pores arranged regularly are formed on the surface. Such porous anodic aluminum oxide has attracted much attention in recent years due to the expansion of its application range. For example, anodized aluminum oxide may be used as a template for manufacturing nanostructures such as nanowires, nanotubes, nano stamps or nanoelectronic circuits. In addition, attempts have been made to use anodized aluminum in various fields such as inorganic separators such as desalination filters, bio / chemical sensors, photonic crystals, solar cell electrodes, drug carriers, and the like.
The basic principle of producing anodized aluminum oxide (AAO) with porosity is to anodize aluminum in an acidic solution. Anodization is generally one of the surface treatment techniques for metals, and is commonly used to protect metals by suppressing corrosion reactions on metal surfaces or to display various kinds of colors on metal surfaces. Anodized aluminum (AAO) can be formed in the representation of aluminum by anodizing the surface of aluminum using this anodization technique.
Anodization techniques for obtaining anodized aluminum are generally mild anodization and hard anodization. Mild anodization is usually anodized at a relatively low current density of about 50 mA / cm 2 in an acidic solution, and hard anodization is usually anodized at a relatively high current density of about 100 mA / cm 2 or more. In the case of hard anodization, anodized aluminum can be grown very quickly and inexpensively. However, in the case of anodized aluminum produced by hard anodization, the arrangement of pores is irregular and its size is also nonuniform. On the other hand, in the case of mild anodization, although the growth rate of the anodized aluminum is slow, there is an advantage that very regular and uniform pores can be obtained.
The present invention provides a method for manufacturing anodized aluminum oxide, which improves the growth rate of anodized aluminum oxide and compensates for the disadvantages of the mild anodized and hard anodized methods, while allowing pores of the anodized aluminum to be uniformly formed.

1 is a conceptual diagram schematically showing a general manufacturing apparatus for producing anodized aluminum. Referring to FIG. 1, in a general manufacturing method for manufacturing anodized aluminum, an
In the case shown in FIG. 1, the
3A-3C schematically illustrate the general principle in which anodized aluminum is formed. First, as shown in FIG. 3A, when a positive voltage is applied to the
On the other hand, as described above, there are a mild anodization method using a relatively low current mill and a hard anodization method using a relatively high current density in the method of forming the anodized
An embodiment of the present invention provides a method for improving the growth rate of anodized aluminum oxide and at the same time forming pores of the anodized aluminum oxide by supplementing the disadvantages of the mild anodizing method and the hard anodizing method. . 4 to 6 are conceptual views sequentially illustrating a process of manufacturing anodized aluminum oxide according to an embodiment of the present invention.
First, referring to FIG. 4, a mirror-finished
Then, a negative voltage and a positive voltage are applied to the
When the
Then, the first
Finally, the
In the above-described embodiment, the range of current density 50 ~ 2000mA / cm 2 is wider than about 150 ~ 1000mA / cm 2 which is the range of current density mainly required in the general hard anodization. The second
