Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a polyimide manufacturing method, a polyimide produced by this and a film made of the polyimide, specifically, colorless transparent, excellent optical properties, high dimensional stability with high temperature and temperature changes and heat It relates to a polyimide production method having excellent stability, a polyimide produced thereby and a film made of the polyimide.
Polyimide resin is an insoluble and insoluble ultra-high heat resistant resin that has excellent characteristics such as heat oxidation resistance, heat resistance, radiation resistance, low temperature property, chemical resistance, and so on. It is used in a wide range of fields such as coating agents, insulating films, semiconductors, and electrode protective films of TFT-LCDs.
Typical polyimide resins are colored brown or yellow due to their high aromatic ring density, resulting in low transmittance in the visible range and yellowish colors. Therefore, polyimide resins are limited in the field of optics and displays, which require high transparency due to their low light transmittance despite their wide field applications.
In order to solve these limitations, a method of polymerization by purifying raw materials (monomers, solvents) used in high purity has been attempted, but the improvement of the transmittance is not large. U.S. Patent No. 553480 describes a method of using an aliphatic ring-based dianhydride component instead of an aromatic dianhydride, and compared to the purification method, there was an improvement in transparency and color when solution or film was formed, but also an improvement in permeability. There was a limit to the high permeability was not satisfactory, and also resulted in degradation of thermal and mechanical properties.

TMA (Perkin Elmer, Diamond TMA) was used to measure the coefficient of thermal expansion at 50 to 200 ℃ over three times of first run, second run, and third run according to TMA-Method. In other words, the temperature was increased from 30 ° C. to 230 ° C. and then lowered to 30 ° C. and then raised again to 230 ° C. and repeated three times, and the results are shown in Table 2 below.
As shown in Table 2, it can be seen that the optical properties and thermal properties are different depending on the polymerization method. That is, the random copolymer synthesized in Example 6 was found to have a larger CTE than other block copolymers. This is because the regularity of the array is poor and the change is more significant than that of the block copolymer when a certain amount of tension is applied according to the temperature change.
The polyimide, a block copolymer synthesized in Examples 4, 9, and 10, was excellent in CTE by controlling the amount of monomer introduced by finely adding diamine as a chain extender. The molecular weight of the polyimide is greatly influenced by the molar ratio of diamine and dianhydride used. Therefore, rather than determining the equivalence ratio according to the weight measurement, the content of monomer introduced by using a dropping panel is adjusted. When finely adjusted, it can be seen that a polyimide having a higher molecular weight and a uniform degree of polymerization is obtained.
The polyimide synthesized in Examples 1 to 8 had better transparency than the polyimide synthesized in Examples 9 to 11. In consideration of the optical properties according to the structure of the monomer, it can be seen that as the -CF 3 functional group in the polymerized polyimide increases, transparency of the polyimide effectively blocks the conjugated structure.
The polyimide block copolymer of Example 3 uses a triamine-based polyetheramine as a chain extender, and the polyimide polymer or its precursor prepared when crosslinked is assumed to have morphological stability, thereby improving the coefficient of thermal expansion.
When comparing Examples 1 and 2 and Examples 9 and 11, when the polyimide film is made from polyamic acid, the amount of acetic anhydride used to effectively induce dehydration reaction to cause imidization is greater than that of polyamic acid. This suggests that the Imidization occurs at lower temperature, which prevents discoloration over long periods of time at high temperatures, thereby lowering the Yellow Index.
The films of Comparative Examples 1 and 2 using polyimide synthesized using two kinds of monomers showed poor transparency or poor thermal stability as compared with Examples.
