Claims (36)
- 무선통신시스템에서 다수의 터미널들로의 다운링크 데이터 전송을 스케줄링하기 위한 방법으로서:가능한 데이터 전송을 위한 하나 이상의 터미널들 세트들을 형성하는 단계 ― 각 터미널 세트는 하나 이상의 터미널들의 조합을 포함하고 평가될 가설(hypothesis)에 대응함 ―;각각의 세트의 상기 하나 이상의 터미널들에 다수의 전송 안테나들을 할당하는 단계;각 가설에 대한 안테나 할당들에 일부 기초하여 상기 각 가설의 성능을 평가하는 단계;상기 성능에 기초하여 상기 하나 이상의 평가된 가설중 하나를 선택하는 단계; 및상기 선택된 가설의 상기 하나 이상의 터미널들로의 데이터 전송을 스케줄링하는 단계를 포함하는 스케줄링 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 각 가설에 대한 다수의 부-가설(sub-hypothesis)들을 형성하는 단계를 더 포함하며, 각 부-가설은 상기 각 가설의 상기 하나 이상의 터미널들에 대한 상기 전송 안테나들의 특정 할당에 대응하고; 그리고상기 각 부-가설의 성능이 평가되며, 상기 평가된 부-가설들 중 하나가 상기 성능에 기초하여 선택되는, 스케줄링 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 할당단계는,모든 비할당 전송 안테나들 중 최상의 성능을 가진 전송 안테나 및 터미널 쌍을 식별하는 단계;상기 쌍의 전송 안테나를 상기 쌍의 터미널에 할당하는 단계; 및고려대상에서 상기 할당된 전송 안테나 및 터미널을 제거하는 단계를 포함하는, 스케줄링 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 각 가설은 상기 각 가설의 각 터미널에 대한 채널상태 정보(CSI)에 일부 기초하여 평가되며, 상기 CSI는 상기 전송 안테나들과 상기 각 터미널사이의 채널특성들을 지시하는, 스케줄링 방법.
- 제 4항에 있어서, 각 터미널에 대한 상기 CSI는 상기 전송 안테나들로부터 전송된 신호들에 기초하여 상기 각 터미널에서 유도된 신호-대-잡음-더하기-간섭 비(signal-to-noise-plus-interference ratio, SNR)를 포함하는, 스케줄링 방법.
- 제 5항에 있어서, 평가될 하나 이상의 터미널들의 각 세트는 상기 각 세트의 상기 하나 이상의 터미널들에 의하여 달성되는 SNR들의 각 매트릭스(matrix)와 연관되는, 스케줄링 방법.
- 제 4항에 있어서, 상기 각 전송 안테나와 연관된 CSI에 기초하여 각 전송 안테나에 대한 코딩 및 변조방식을 결정하는 단계를 더 포함하는 스케줄링 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 각 세트의 상기 하나 이상의 터미널들은 터미널들의 풀(pool) 중에서 선택되는, 스케줄링 방법.

- 제 11항에 있어서, 각각의 스케줄링된 MIMO 터미널은 상기 MIMO 터미널에 전송된 데이터를 복구하기 위하여 연속적인 소거(cancellation) 수신기 프로세싱을 수행하는, 스케줄링 방법.
- 제 5항에 있어서, 하나 이상의 안테나 빔들의 세트들은 안테나 빔들의 각 세트에 하나의 벡터씩, SNR들의 하나 이상의 벡터들을 제공하기 위한 스케줄링에 고려될 각 터미널에 의하여 평가되는, 스케줄링 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 각각의 세트는 미리 결정된 범위 내의 링크 마진들을 갖는 터미널들을 포함하는, 스케줄링 방법.

- 제 19항에 있어서, 스케줄링에 고려될 각 터미널에 대한 하나 이상의 메트릭들을 유지하는 단계를 더 포함하고; 그리고상기 각 터미널의 우선순위는 상기 각 터미널에 대하여 유지되는 상기 하나 이상의 메트릭들에 일부 기초하여 결정되는, 스케줄링 방법.
- 제 23항에 있어서, 상기 각 터미널에 대하여 유지되는 상기 하나 이상의 메트릭들이 상기 각 터미널에 의하여 달성된 평균 스루풋율과 관련되는, 스케줄링 방법.

- 제 28항에 있어서, 상기 평가단계는 상기 특정 안테나 할당들에 기초하여 상기 각 부-가설의 상기 하나 이상의 터미널들에 대한 스루풋을 결정하는 단계를 포함하고; 그리고최고 스루풋을 가진 각 부-가설이 선택되는, 스케줄링 방법.
- 제 28항에 있어서, 하나의 터미널들 세트가 형성되며, 상기 하나의 세트의 터미널들은 데이터 전송을 원하는 터미널들의 우선순위에 기초하여 선택되는, 스케줄링 방법.
- 다중-입력 다중-출력(MIMO) 통신시스템으로서,하나의 기지국 및 하나 이상의 터미널들을 포함하며;상기 기지국은,다수의 전송 안테나들,상기 통신시스템의 다수의 터미널들에 대한 채널 추정들을 나타내는 채널상태 정보(CSI)를 수신하고, 각 세트에 대해 평가되는 성능에 기초하여 다운링크상으로의 데이터 전송을 위한 하나 이상의 터미널들의 세트를 선택하고, 그리고 상기 다수의 전송 안테나들을 상기 하나 이상의 선택된 터미널들에 할당하도록 구성되는 스케줄러,상기 CSI에 기초하여 상기 하나 이상의 선택된 터미널들에 대한 데이터를 수신 및 처리하여, 다수의 데이터 스트림들을 제공하도록 구성되는 전송 데이터 프로세서, 및상기 다수의 데이터 스트림을 처리하여, 상기 다수의 전송 안테나들로부터의 전송을 위한 다수의 변조된 신호들을 제공하도록 구성되는 다수의 변조기들을 포함하며;각 터미널은,다수의 수신 안테나들 - 각 수신 안테나는 상기 기지국으로부터 전송된 상기 다수의 변조된 신호들을 수신하도록 구성됨 - ;다수의 프런트-엔드 유닛들 - 각 프런트-엔드 유닛은 연관된 수신 안테나로부터의 신호를 처리하여, 각각의 수신된 신호를 제공하도록 구성됨 - ;상기 다수의 프런트-엔드 유닛들로부터 다수의 수신된 신호들을 처리하여, 하나 이상의 디코딩된 데이터 스트림들을 제공하고 추가로 상기 다수의 변조된 신호들에 대한 CSI를 유도하도록 구성되는 수신 프로세서; 및상기 기지국에 역으로 전송하기 위한 CSI를 처리하도록 구성된 전송 데이터 프로세서를 포함하는 다중-입력 다중-출력(MIMO) 통신시스템.
- 다중-입력 다중-출력(MIMO) 통신시스템내의 기지국으로서:데이터를 수신하고 처리하여, 데이터 전송을 위하여 스케줄링된 하나 이상의 터미널들로의 전송을 위한 다수의 데이터 스트림들을 제공하도록 구성된 전송 데이터 프로세서 ― 상기 데이터는 상기 하나 이상의 스케줄링된 터미널들에 대한 채널 추정들을 나타내는 채널상태 정보(CSI)에 기초하여 처리됨 ―;상기 다수의 데이터 스트림들을 처리하여 다수의 변조된 신호들을 제공하도록 구성된 다수의 변조기들;상기 다수의 변조된 신호들을 수신하여 상기 하나 이상의 스케줄링된 터미널들에 전송하도록 구성된 다수의 전송 안테나들; 및상기 통신시스템 내의 다수의 터미널들에 대한 CSI를 수신하고, 각 세트에 대해 평가되는 성능에 기초하여 데이터 전송을 위한 하나 이상의 터미널들의 세트를 선택하며, 상기 하나 이상의 선택된 터미널들에 상기 다수의 전송 안테나들을 할당하도록 구성된 스케줄러를 포함하는 기지국.
- 제 32항에 있어서, 각 전송 안테나에 대한 상기 데이터 스트림은 상기 각 전송 안테나와 연관된 CSI에 기초하여 상기 각 전송 안테나에 대해 선택된 코딩 및 변조방식에 기초하여 처리되는, 기지국.
- 제 32항에 있어서, 상기 다수의 전송 안테나들을 통해 수신된 다수의 신호들을 처리하여 다수의 수신된 신호들을 제공하도록 구성된 다수의 복조기들; 및상기 다수의 수신된 신호들을 추가로 처리하여 상기 통신시스템내의 상기 하나 이상의 터미널들에 대한 CSI를 유도하도록 구성된 수신 데이터 프로세서를 더 포함하는 기지국.
