Description
Claims (24)
- 무선 단말을 동작시키는 방법으로서,상기 무선 단말이 연결되는 제1 기지국으로부터 제1 신호를 수신하는 단계;제2 기지국으로부터 제2 신호를 수신하는 단계;상기 수신된 제1 신호의 전력을 측정하는 단계;상기 수신된 제2 신호의 전력을 측정하는 단계; 및제1 값 대 제2 값의 비(ratio)를 표시하는 보고를 전송하는 단계를 포함하며, 여기서 상기 제1 및 제2 값은 각각 상기 수신된 제1 신호의 측정 전력 및 상기 수신된 제2 신호의 측정 전력의 함수(function)인, 무선 단말 동작 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,적어도 상기 제1 값은 상기 제1 신호의 측정 전력과는 다르지만, 상기 제1 신호의 측정 전력으로부터 결정되며, 상기 제2 신호는 상기 제2 신호의 측정 전력과는 다르지만, 상기 제2 신호의 측정 전력으로부터 결정되는, 무선 단말 동작 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 수신된 제1 신호는 상기 제1 기지국으로부터 수신된 파일럿 신호 및 비콘 신호 중 하나인, 무선 단말 동작 방법.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 수신된 제2 신호는 상기 제2 기지국으로부터 수신된 파일럿 신호 및 비콘 신호 중 하나이며, 상기 제1 및 제2 신호들 각각은 3 OFDM 심벌 전송 시간 주기 길이보다 작은 듀레이션을 갖는 싱글 톤(single tone) 신호인, 무선 단말 동작 방법.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 제2 신호는 상기 제2 신호를 전송한 기지국에 의해 상기 제2 신호 듀레이션 동안 전송되는 임의의 사용자 데이터보다 높은 톤 당 전력 레벨에서 전송된 신호인, 무선 단말 동작 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제1 값은 상기 수신된 제1 신호의 측정 전력과 동일한, 무선 단말 동작 방법.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 제2 값은 상기 수신된 제2 신호의 측정 전력과 동일한, 무선 단말 동작 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제1 값은 이득 인자만큼 승산된 상기 수신된 제1 신호의 측정 전력과 동일하며, 여기서 상기 이득 인자는 상기 제1 및 제2 신호들의 상대적인 전송 전력의 함수인, 무선 단말 동작 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제2 값은 이득 인자만큼 승산된 상기 수신된 제2 신호의 측정 전력과 동일하며, 여기서 상기 이득 인자는 상기 제1 및 제2 신호들의 상대적인 전송 전력의 함수인, 무선 단말 동작 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제1 및 제2 신호들은 기준 신호들이며, 상기 기준 신호들은 각각 제1 및 제2 고정 전력 레벨에서 전송되며, 상기 방법은하나 이상의 추가적인 기지국들로부터 각각 하나 이상의 추가적인 비콘 신호들을 수신하는 단계;상기 수신된 하나 이상의 추가적인 비콘 신호들의 전력을 측정하는 단계; 및상기 제2 신호의 측정된 전력 및 상기 하나 이상의 추가적인 비콘 신호들의 측정 전력으로부터 상기 제2 값을 결정하는 단계를 더 포함하며,상기 제1 값은 상기 제1 신호의 측정 전력과 동일한, 무선 단말 동작 방법.
- 제10항에 있어서,상기 제2 값 결정은 상기 제2 신호 및 상기 하나 이상의 추가적인 비콘 신호들의 측정 전력의 최대치로 상기 제2 값을 설정하는 것을 포함하는, 무선 단말 동작 방법.
- 제10항에 있어서,상기 제2 값 결정은 상기 제2 신호 및 상기 하나 이상의 추가적인 비콘 신호들의 측정 전력의 합으로 상기 제2 값을 설정하는 것을 포함하는, 무선 단말 동작 방법.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 제1 신호를 수신하기에 앞서, 상기 제1 기지국으로부터 추가적인 비콘 신호를 수신하는 단계;상기 수신된 추가적인 비콘 신호의 전력을 측정하는 단계를 더 포함하며,상기 제1 값은 상기 제1 신호의 측정 전력 및 상기 수신된 추가적인 신호의 측정 전력의 평균의 함수인, 무선 단말 동작 방법.
- 제13항에 있어서,상기 제1 값은 이득 인자에 의해 승산된 상기 수신된 추가적인 신호의 측정 전력 및 상기 수신된 제1 신호의 측정 전력의 평균과 동일하며, 여기서 상기 이득 인자는 상기 제1 및 제2 신호들의 상대적인 전송 전력의 함수인, 무선 단말 동작 방법.
- 제13항에 있어서,상기 제2 신호 수신에 앞서, 상기 제2 기지국으로부터 제2 추가 비콘 신호를 수신하는 단계; 및상기 수신된 제2 추가 비콘 신호의 전력을 측정하는 단계를 더 포함하며,상기 제2 값은 상기 제2 신호의 측정 전력 및 상기 수신된 제2 추가 비콘 신호의 측정 전력의 평균의 함수인, 무선 단말 동작 방법.
- 무선 단말로서,상기 무선 단말이 연결되는 제1 기지국으로부터 제1 신호를 수신하고, 제2 기지국으로부터 제2 신호를 수신하기 위한 수신기 모듈;상기 제1 및 제2 수신 신호들의 전력을 측정하기 위한 전력 측정 모듈; 및제1 값 대 제2 값의 비를 표시하는 보고를 생성하기 위한 보고 생성 모듈을 포함하며, 여기서 상기 제1 및 제2 값들은 각각 상기 수신된 제1 신호의 측정 전력 및 상기 수신된 제2 신호의 측정 전력의 함수인, 무선 단말.
- 제16항에 있어서,적어도 상기 제1 값은 상기 제1 신호의 측정 전력과는 다르지만, 상기 제1 신호의 측정 전력으로부터 결정되며, 상기 제2 신호는 상기 제2 신호의 측정 전력과는 다르지만, 상기 제2 신호의 측정 전력으로부터 결정되는, 무선 단말.
- 제16항에 있어서,상기 수신된 제1 신호는 상기 제1 기지국으로부터 수신된 파일럿 신호 및 비콘 신호 중 하나인, 무선 단말.
- 제18항에 있어서,상기 수신된 제2 신호는 상기 제2 기지국으로부터 수신된 파일럿 신호 및 비콘 신호 중 하나이며, 상기 제1 및 제2 신호들 각각은 3 OFDM 심벌 전송 시간 주기 길이보다 작은 듀레이션을 갖는 싱글 톤(single tone) 신호인, 무선 단말.
