Description

다음으로, 전력 관리 모듈은 성능 상태 천이를 준비하고 돕도록, 입/출력 제어 허브(ICH)에 요구한다(E2). 그리고, 제어 로직(100)은 전압 레귤레이터(52) 출력이 고성능 상태 코어 공급 전압 레벨이 되어야 한다는 것을 전압 레귤레이터(52)에 지시한다. 일실시예에서, 전압 레귤레이터(52)는 GASIC(Geyserville Application Specific Integrated Circuit)를 포함하여, 25MV-50MV 에서 조절 램핑 레이트(controlled ramping rate)를 이용하여 계단식으로 전압 레귤레이터(52)의 출력을 상승시킨다(E3). Claims (36)
- 프로세서;전력 관리 이벤트를 검출하기 위한 검출기; 및상기 전력 관리 이벤트에 응답하여, 프로세서 공급 전압 레벨을 제1 전압 레벨로부터 제2 전압 레벨로 높이고, 프로세서 클럭 주파수를 제1 주파수 레벨로부터 제2 주파수 레벨로 높이는 것을 포함해서, 상기 프로세서의 제1 설정을 제1 성능 모드로부터 제2 성능 모드로 천이시키기 위한 제어기를 포함하고,상기 프로세서는 상기 전압 레벨 천이 동안에 액티브 모드로 유지하고,상기 주파수 레벨 천이 동안, 상기 프로세서는 딥 슬립 상태(deep sleep state)가 아니라 슬립 상태(sleep state)에 놓이게 되고, 코어 프로세서 클럭은 상기 슬립 상태 동안에 액티브를 유지하는시스템.
