C スチールコード
複数本のスチールコードを含むジョイントレス材を供給過程においてセンサーにより検査し、ジョイントレス材の全長に対してスチールコードが露出している部分の長さの比率(%)を求めた。
完成タイヤに対してシェアログラフィー(Shearography)検査を行った。つまり、完成タイヤを真空下に配置してエア溜まりによる膨らみを目視により確認し、エア溜まり不良が発生したタイヤの比率(%)を求めた。
各試験タイヤをリムサイズ22.5×14.00のリムに装着し、空気圧900kPaにしてドラム試験機に取り付け、速度45km/h、荷重68.65kNで走行試験を実施し、タイヤが破壊するまでの走行距離を測定した。評価結果は、実施例3を100とする指数にて示した。この指数値が大きいほど耐久性が優れていることを意味する。
各試験タイヤの重量を測定した。評価結果は、実施例3を100とする指数にて示した。この指数値が小さいほど軽量であることを意味する。
各試験タイヤの製造コストを求めた。評価結果は、実施例3を100とする指数にて示した。この指数値が小さいほど製造コストが低いことを意味する。
Claims (5)
- トレッド部におけるカーカス層の外周側に、ゴム被覆された1本又は複数本のスチールコードを含むジョイントレス材をタイヤ周方向に配向させつつタイヤ軸方向に螺旋状に巻き付けて周方向補強層を形成するようにした空気入りタイヤの製造方法において、前記ジョイントレス材の横断面形状を実質的に平行四辺形とし、その平行四辺形の傾斜角度αを5°≦α≦20°の範囲に設定したことを特徴とする空気入りタイヤの製造方法。
- 前記周方向補強層に用いるスチールコードの最外撚りがS撚りの場合は前記ジョイントレス材の横断面形状を左下がりの平行四辺形として該ジョイントレス材の巻き付けをタイヤ軸方向右側から左側へ行い、前記周方向補強層に用いるスチールコードの最外撚りがZ撚りの場合は前記ジョイントレス材の横断面形状を右下がりの平行四辺形として該ジョイントレス材の巻き付けをタイヤ軸方向左側から右側へ行うことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の空気入りタイヤの製造方法。
- 前記周方向補強層に用いるスチールコードの外径が1.2mm〜2.2mmであり、該周方向補強層におけるスチールコードの打ち込み本数が17本/50mm〜30本/50mmであることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の空気入りタイヤの製造方法。
- 前記周方向補強層のコード角度がタイヤ周方向に対して0°〜5°であることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の空気入りタイヤの製造方法。
- 前記周方向補強層を形成する工程において、平行四辺形の開口部を有する口金を備えたゴム被覆装置を用いて1本又は複数本のスチールコードに対してゴムを被覆することで前記ジョイントレス材を成形し、前記ゴム被覆装置の口金から排出される前記ジョイントレス材を成形ドラムに直接供給することを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の空気入りタイヤの製造方法。
